I'l have to check it out. I always love a good anime.

I've never seen this. What's this anime about??

I've had a relaxer, cornrows, mini-twists - you name it, I've had it.
My hair switches from natural afro-y to straight or wavy sew-in (you should see the white people in my office trying to reconcile the two). I've worked in offices where I've been told that my natural hair is beautiful. I've worked in offices where

And the migraine that comes from that mess being too tight. NOPE.

I have very little faith in this adaptation. However, if they keep that one thing from the book, even if the rest of the movie is crap, I'll forgive all other sins.

On a personal level, if you don't want kids, Yay! You have options and readily available birth control and a woman's right to choose are wonderful (though constantly threatened) things.

Yes. I've seen the episode. I'm not a fan of the show (for a laundry list of reasons, none of which include nudity). I was simply pointing out that not all of the nudity in the show is tied to a sexuality or simply situational (i.e. shower).

But there was an episode where she wore a mesh shirt with nothing underneath. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, just saying it was portrayed. Nips and all.

Not just in gaming, but in many circles of nerd culture. In cosplay, anime, comic books, you name it - women are having to explain and justify their place within the culture. It's not easy.
Like for instance - this cosplayer (in case of small print):

The hair is one thing, but this is really dangerous. If she nods off and the scarf(?) tightens around her throat slowly enough, she could strangle herself.

Complain to the Principal because that person needs extra training before teaching children.

This needed to happen. In order for Disney to really take charge of the franchise - they need to hammer down what is official vs. what is not. The EU is so expansive that there needs to be some continuity between it and the films.

Also, can I sit in on those meetings? Arguing about Star Wars is one of the things I

I loved this series (and everything else Tamora Pierce put out) when I was growing up. I think her series are best in that awkward 7-9th grade phase. I always described it as Dragonlance-light with Feminism! I enjoyed it for what it was. Definitely kind of annoying, but she was writing in the 80s. It was a

I read this in 5-6th grade and it is still one of my favorite books. Read it every year or two. Teaches me new things everytime

Fantasy? Girl, please. We had all the fun times!

These books were sooooooo important to me growing up. Definitely on Harry Potter level with me. Spot on!

What the what? Is that real?

Did they not learn their lesson after last time?? Tsk tsk NBC.
You've been doing this long enough, I expect better from you.

Thank you very much for these resources! They are great and are about to go all over my FB!
