Here’s the thing; corporations are not your friend, this is obvious. They are machines that do not care about morals or rights or anything besides their profit margins, and if they thought it was more profitable to throw in with fascist wannabes they would in a heartbeat.

One thing that gets lost in the discussion about “Disney didn’t have to follow state safety laws” is that Reedy Creek’s self imposed safety requirements and health standards were far more strict than Florida’s because Florida, like most red states, have absolutely gutted any kind of regulatory oversight in the name of

But how will my binary black hat/white hat worldview survive?

Yeah my first thought was: what about this episode is so notably different than all the other times that it’s finally prompting a response? Can’t be the homophobia or sexism because we’ve definitely been through that song and dance a thousand times already.

Often I wondered: where are the dedicated Funko fans that must exist for this enterprise to be so enduring? Then earlier this year at a store I saw a couple walk up to this wall of them and get so excited and start going through them intently.

Pretty wild to mess this up, I’ve always been impressed by (some) old school text entry adventure games specifically because they accepted such a large number of variances in the commands.

These people have whole subreddits dedicated to “calling out” examples of “wokeness,” so I’m pretty sure they’re fundamentally incapable of letting anything go. Especially if it’s successful despite their tantrums.

Yeah I don’t know how difficult it really was, just that people thought of it as difficult. I remember in small artist circles that I traveled in it was always a point of annoyance since there were impersonators who would try to sell merch of stolen art, so artists would try to get verified to fight it but Twitter

I’m no authority but there were memes/jokes about blue checkmarks being “oh look at them ooo” because of how difficult it was to get for years and years, but they didn’t have the “liberal woke elite” element and no one was that serious about it.

“Only the cool people disagree with me” is a helluva way to start your argument.

The funniest part of Sweeney’s tweet is the admission that the $8 crew are not the cool ones.

The difference is that those grab bags aren’t taped to their back with “kick me” written on them.

DeSantis is flaming out but this guy will hold on to the crown for most pathetic when he bows out of the primary after the MAGA base calls for his head and he meekly thanks them for the privilege.

Wonder if they’ll ask players to actually try to crash the servers. I participated in a few tests for Guild Wars 2 where they did and it was strangely a lot of fun since they basically asked you try to create as many simultaneous interactions as possible. Granted that was an MMO and this isn’t but still; was the one

wheee

Heck yeah Plate Up! I have over 100 hours in that game on Steam and always was thinking it would be great for Switch.

I was fine with the underwater sections in HFW for most of the game but when you reached the open ocean it definitely triggered some kind of unease in me that I wasn’t expecting.

Well it is Sega. They’re not known for having to go fast or anything.

All I have to say is; I did not have “Mario movie is successful” as the next big hot button divisive media topic on my bingo sheet.

Probably dependent on your relationship to the franchises. I’m not a Sonic fan but I’d say that Sonic works better “as a movie” (meaning structure, pacing etc.) but Mario was more fun as an experience and I really appreciated that it asked the audience to just accept the logic of the world rather than twist itself
