I took a Sociology class at the Univ. of WA called Murder. Ms. Rule spoke to our class after we read her book, I remember being able to tell how haunted she still was about the whole thing (this was in 98 or 99). Ted Bundy hunted women in the neighborhood near campus known as greek row, where I lived when I was taking

I’m really confused by the tone of this article. The pure charisma and likability of Ted Bundy is well-documented. His crimes and horrific actions are also well-documented. I feel like the teaser sets up the audience to see these two sides of the man. Who else, but a former teen heartthrob (the handsome one you would

Being old enough to remember his arrest, subsequent trial, and dearth of documentaries for the next decade; this is exactly how the narrative was pushed.

“Bundy, Monster Hiding Behind a Handsome Face” or what seemed like a hundred different takes on that title. Every documentary focused on how handsome he was, how

But wasn’t the whole point that Bundy was more than “vaguely likable?” that is how he was able to victimize so many woman, by getting them to trust him.

Really the person to blame here is the prosecutor. They have incredibly broad discretion in what charges to bring and it’s just another example of how bad most prosecutors in this country are that they thought this charge was a good idea.

No, the claim for the visit and script totalled $233, so that is the amount she defrauded the insurance company. This article mis-reported that part.

Let’s not. Let’s just not have deductibles. Let’s just have real fucking first world health care like every other civilized goddamn country.

Inmate A: what are you in for?

She paid $233 WITH INSURANCE? I’m flabberghasted at how utterly FUCKED the system is at perceiving who is committing which crimes in this story!

I don’t think you could have a prouder moment than turning yourself in because you fraudulently obtained some medicine for a poor and sick child.

But Brock Turner got no jail time for raping an unconscious woman. Good old American Justice.

It’s probably easier in retrospect- the closer it is to the role the more it is “Well you know, I really wanted the role.” Which is an honest thing, but honesty is also dangerous in Hollywood. You could get blowback just as easily as positive feedback.

Exactly. This is sort of what Mira Sorvino said:

Becky would also be acceptable

I’ve got a feeling the driver has short cropped blonde hair, asks to speak to the manager all the time and is named Susan, Karen or Linda.

A few weeks back I passed a tractor trailer in Florida that had large letters on the back saying “If I just passed you on the right you are an asshole.” It’d be cool if he passed this guy.

The worst part is that you know this person hangs out in the passing lane, despite that fact that it’s just as much against the law as speeding...

Yeah this was my first thought.

I wish I felt shame for being so enthralled by the drama, but the fallout of it all, the magnitude of how ass awful it was, and the lack of concern or care for the island residents, day laborers, and Maryann Rolle makes me want to bathe in the drama for years. I truly hope that McFarland and Ja Rule’s legal woes are
