It's all about taking time to read several reviews and find out what's the possible flaw, maybe that flaw doesn't bother me. Anyway, common sense is the key.

Once i had a short cable and it was hell for me. It was ok for walking but in the office was really painful, the jack was a bit too far and couldn't get it closer, used an extension but didn't like the looks and mess. Long story short, buy medium length cable or a coiled cable.
