Sounds like several people in that restaurant actively supported the show. I know I would have found it at the very least entertaining.

Precisely - I saw the first Ocean’s movie (well the remake, not the original with Frank) and yeah - it’s a piece of fluff and fun. It’s supposed to be. And for it’s this reason I don’t see more of them even though this cast looks awesome.

I don’t know if you had the pleasure of reading the book but the relationships featured are decidedly NOT egalitarian. And I don’t believe any of the women in those situations claim to be. 

Would posit that the alleged behavior of Freeman should be embarrassing for anyone over 15. I think that’s the point that is being made. I def don’t care how old he is. Because I see this sort of ageist shit all the time in my dance community.

I say this stuff as someone who doesn’t think these guys come into the world like this *necessarily* but rather over time find “truth” in these communities - at the very least something that resonates. Killing the things that would create these communities is key to stopping them.

Again, I don’t think there is a way out of the incel community as it is now without choosing that it’s a toxic place and looking for alternatives. No outside force will help these boys see the light.
