@LucasReis: I'm at least 99 percent certain that I never beat the mission. I went looking for other stuff to do, and I think the bridge opened up after I went through some other stuff that actually seemed to NOT be mandatory, but actually was.

@Slatz_Grobnik: Then it'll suck for you to hear that you don't actually need to do the toy airplane mission.
@LucasReis: And I was SO relieved when I discovered that I didn't actually have to do the mission. Man, it's a horrible one.
@Diodax: The first game did that because it ends when it finally looks like you get to actually explore the world in a non-linear fashion. "Yeah, a ship! Finally! To be continued? WHAT THE I DON'T EVEN"
@Nubius: is easily distracted by cute things: Not sure if it's the MOST funny one, but it's the first one that comes to mind. Batman: Arkham Asylum. (MINOR SPOILERS BELOW.)
@shouryuuken: Getting a distinct Treasure feel from this one. Not a bad thing, that.
I think it's simply a matter of distinction between graphics, gameplay, and view.
@PlatformJunkie: Shooters Must Die: Pretty much. It's a technology that's now just enough out of its infancy to become interesting to the average consumer... The old-fashioned red-and-green/red-and-blue 3D glasses weren't reliable, since small color differences could render them useless. Now they're employing glasses…
@JesseNick: Oh, I dunno... Give'em some good voice actors, and I'd gladly watch an Ace Attorney anime.
@Killer Toilet: Someone needs to make a mix of this and the DK Rap.
@ElephantFace: When five lists aren't released in one week, Kotaku does nothing, because Kotaku doesn't exist any more. Along with the rest of the Internet.
The Master Materia and suchlike you got from the Weapons in FF7 were sorta worth it, if not for the fact that if you beat them, well... You'd already beaten the hardest enemies in the game, you know? So, like, "Congrats! Now you can kill Sephiroth even more easily!" I guess it was another way to get a complete set of…
@K_dawg: Yeah, the PVPonline one was more of a character-development type strip than a joke-strip. Not even meant to be funny.
@MavrixWK: Now that, I could actually see them doing in the game.
@Ghost_Six: I knew I wouldn't be the only one who had that idea. Foo.
@P4KO: Hahahah, awesome.
Language can sometimes define a game even beyond the gameplay. Would any of the Mario & Luigi games be as great without the brilliant translation to back'em up? (Well, in this case, they'd still be great, but they wouldn't be remembered for being as funny as they are.) And don't get me started on the Ace Attorney…
@shouryuuken: Nothing wrong with "Nintendo Rock" :)
@roughneck117: So...
