As far as I can tell from the video all six lasers fire continuously; they're not pulsed. So there's almost no point to rotating the assembly, except to be cool, which it certainly is.

You have a good point. People may hate what Microsoft is doing, but other than having to connect every 24 hours, they're doing nothing Steam doesn't do already[and possibly more than what Steam does].
