It’ll be like Never Say Never Again.”

The way I’m reading this statement and Beth’s article, it’s not even certain they can’t use the Skrulls. Feige won’t produce the future films, but the IP sharing agreements can be negotiated separately.

This is what made this Spidey so much more engaging for me then previous iterations. That montage at the beginning of Homecoming was an absolute blast and made Tom Holland’s Peter Parker as genuinely relatable - someone watching and finally participating in all the insanity that the MCU built up over the years. I was

The problem is Sony let them do what they wanted to because it was a cartoon and they didn’t place the same level of corporate scrutiny on it as they would the next live action movie.

Uh, pride parades, gay bathhouses, gay bars. Gay... coffee shops.

I honestly don’t think it can be overstated how important The Sims games were to so many of us queer people attempting to make sense of their sexuality. It’s fantastic that they removed gender-locked clothing/style choices in The Sims 4 and added the ability to create trans and non-binary Sims. Even if it’s somewhat

Some of us experimented early with Sims to figure out that holy shit we’re not straight, so thank goodness they left that in

I offer a throwback quote to match the throwback to the Sims. Here is Lauren Berlant and Michael Warner, “Sex in Public.” Critical Inquiry, vol. 24, no. 2, 1998, pp. 547–566:

I wouldn’t be surprised if the appeal was to appropriateness to children. That has been a frequent by-line for restrictions on representing same-sex couples in the past. It’s also a common argument behind longstanding efforts to restrict adoption and parental rights for same-sex couples.

Cop or not, you do not pull a firearm on an individual, armed or not, who is not displaying any threatening behaviour.

“Luke and Vader did not have an epic fight in Empire

Their fight in Jedi absolutely was epic.

I guess the criminalization of blackness is now complete; and every black male is a criminal, every white man a saint.

You are conflating harassment and criticism. Death threats, doxing, and belittlement is harassment and it is the kind of thing this article and the commenters (myself as well) are talking about. Getting on a forum and typing up your disappointment and frustration with a product is completely different.

At least acknowledge that there is a toxic side to fandom who can and will take their outrage too far especially with a well-established franchise such as Pokemon. So instead of getting on your high-horse maybe recognise that that paragraph wasn’t addressing you.

No, the fact you apparently can’t understand the difference between criticism, being upset, and expressing your opinion vs attacking, harrassing, and insulting, is what’s sad.

Dude. They didn’t say “don’t criticize the devs”. There’s a world of difference between critique and harassment.

There is a huge difference between expressing your opinion and threatening and directly harassing people because you are unhappy.  If you can’t see the difference you are also part of the problem.

As someone who speaks Arabic, “kanan is basically a non-entity as either an Arabic word or name. That dog was almost certainly named after the Star Wars Rebels character. I guess it’s fine though, because at least white Twitter got to spend a few hours getting off on co-opting brown people persecution.
