There’s also a building missing behind/next to the UN. There’s meant to be a big square skyscraper there that’s not.

They could probably chalk that up to perspective... but the bigger problem seems to be that in this universe, the tower portion of the UN HQ has apparently be destroyed. That and the Avengers tower can turn so you see the A wherever you’re looking from.

The only batshit insanity is thinking ether of them thought they changed the world in one fell swoop. They did, however, speak their minds with clear conscience. Not sure why that’s worthy of derision but different strokes for different folks, I guess.

My own fan theory was that ships could “spoof” an aerodynamic shape using deflectors, but having wings - or a vaguely wing-shaped structure - made it it easier, or perhaps provided a backup. This is of course, totally unsupported by anything onscreen or off.
