Well shit. I always thought of Medieval as pertaining specifically to Europe and not just being a general globally applicable time period. Kinda like how you wouldn't say that the Crusades Kings is set in the Heian period.

Haha I can't believe I forgot to mention how bad the RPG tag is. Strategy is pretty terrible as well. DOTA, ARMA III and Insurgency are listed on there.
Uh Dark Souls is tagged as causal, I think this system might be a little off. Other highlights include the first Assassins Creed being listed as medieval and Deadly Premonitions amazing collection of tags (Beard Simulator, Coffee and cool game isn't that right Zach?)
Flappy Bird has inexplicably become click bait. I don't really understand it.
Maverick Bird was worth mentioning though, that game is pretty great.
I would love for that to happen. It's not outside of the realm of possibility, but I think there is a concern that consumers would assume that the $40 games are low in price because they are terrible and not because of a different development model.
I would kill for Bravely Default spruced up and on a big screen.…
I have a pet theory that handhelds produce an inherently better game development environment than other systems because of the lower graphical expectations. Basically that allows developers to keep their budgets to a reasonable level allowing them to make riskier/niche games.
Bravely Default probably wouldn't exist on…
I don't know. I think the main reason handhelds are worth having around is the game development economics side of things. The moderate price point and lower graphical expectations associated with handhelds facilitates more ambitious, riskier game development.
Basically a game like Etrian Odyssey or Bravely Default…
Yeah the 3DS is pretty much the greatest dedicated gaming system ever and the Vita is getting pretty enticing. I already have all the indie games ever on PC, but I would love to play P4G and Danganronpa and I would totally re-buy stuff like Hotline Miami just to play on the go.
I just got my first tablet (a Nexus 7)…
It sounds like the game has a pretty great core, it's a shame they couldn't get better writers or put more effort into the side quests.
I haven't played a non-Atlus rpg in a while so I sorta have the exact opposite reaction. I've been feeling burned out on smt iv* and Bravely Default is feeling very fresh. The smt setting is definitely cooler though.
I remember once my cat stomped all over the keyboard while I was playing and the game completely flipped out. Everything had wrong textures and it was amazing, I think the sea had a pizza texture or something, I don't really remember.
Anyways I thought the whole experience incredibly magical and I kinda miss massive…
Nobody told the developers to change the game. Nobody officially complained. All that happened was that somebody, somewhere asked an interesting question, one that happened to involve non-whites in a very white setting.
Thanks for the tip. Sadly the closest store that has it is like 90 miles away. My local best buy is on my way to work so I'll probably pop in there and see if they have a copy by some fluke.
Congratulations, you pushed me over the edge into buying MGR. How could I resist such magnificent cheese?
I got my estimate for the Collector's Edition and it's Feb 13-15...
I'm seriously considering downgrading to standard edition just to get it a week earlier.
Yeah Atlus really needs to be paraded around to show publishers how to do mid-budget games, I am kinda worried about how the PS4's lack of backwards compatibility will effect Persona 5 though.
Yeah knowing that he binges on the same game I binge on really humanizes him.
One thing that I though was cool about XCom is that you can play on Ironman and have a total party wipeout and still be able to bounce back from it. It isn't easy but you can do it.
This guy is definitely insane though. Zero causality Ironman is a bad idea on normal and a crazy idea even on classic, much less…
Yeah everything is either developed on a massive budget or a shoestring now, which is a shame because mid-budget game development actually has alot going for it.
Atlus is probably the poster boy for this. They have been mostly avoiding the PS3/360 because they are too expensive to develop for and they have been doing…
Such a good song. I can't for the life of me decide on a favorite though. Maybe Ashtray Wasp?
