I'm choosing to believe that the green-haired girl is there to laugh at all the creeps who stare at underaged anime girls while peeing.

Realistically she's there because somebody is into having his dick laughed at, but I like my interpretation better.

When you get your 3DS you should give the Etrian Odyssey 4 demo a try. The series is based off of the ancient western RPGs of the 80s, but with an incredible amount of polish.

Now playing

I realize you are joking, but if anyone out there is cripplingly alone Quinns (the writer of this piece) has a video series where he reviews games and he covered single player games pretty well in this video.

Each turn of Diplomacy is made up of three phases. First, everybody leaves the table to engage in private discussions with the rest of the European powers. Second, everybody writes the moves for all of their pieces. Third, everything moves at once, with very nuanced rules for “supporting” that make alliances crucial.

Have you watched Hataraku Maō-sama (The Devil is a part-timer)? It's got a similar plot. The Demon King and the Hero lose their powers and are transported to modern Tokyo, where they try to cope with their new-found insignificance and poverty.

It's quite funny and the fan-service is minimal.

Dark Souls is about a million times better with a gamepad. The restrictions of the device actually complement the feel of the game nicely (by slowing things down a bit).

Plus you admit yourself that the analog stick is useful for driving games, so I think an entire genre would count as "plenty of game". Fighting games

I don't know why the fanboys would give a shit. Presumably they already have a Vita. I'm pretty pissed off though, this was going to be my first Sony system ever. $100 for a system that can play Vita, PSP and PS1 game is pretty appealing as far as I'm concerned. Like an OUYA but with games I've been wanting to play

This is too perfect. I've always preferred handhelds to consoles and I've wanted a PSP and a VITA forever, but I couldn't justify it because I already have a huge 3DS and Steam backlog. But for ~$100 why not? Game. Changed.

I still haven't gotten over this... Why would anyone do that?

It really is. I've wanted to play the first for ages and had basically given up on it, then all of a sudden we are getting both games!

The first is getting a steam release! Sometime this winter apparently.

To be fair only Gwynevere, Quelaag and Quelaag's sister are the only characters that are remotely sexualized. Furthermore I think those character designs are at least somewhat justified. Unfortunately all of these justifications are pretty big spoilers, so...

I have mixed feelings about saving anywhere in SMT IV. Battles can go really bad really fast thanks to the press turn system, so if you get surprise attacked it's possible to die before even getting to react.

The threat of a sudden first round total party kill would be crazy stressful if you couldn't save anywhere. On

If it makes any difference the game is turn-based, so you can just leave it running in the background without running into any issues.

That's obviously not an ideal solution, but the game is quite good so it might be worth considering.

Yeah it was really hard to choose, the portraits have alot of personality to them, and there are so many!

I ultimately settled on an Ork shaman with a professional look and high society etiquette.

Next playthrough I think I'll go with a punk human decker (classic cyberpunk) or a troll playing against type as a mage or

I think this game is my favorite reinterpretation of tower defense. I love how random enemies can be a huge threat and you need to have really good set up and execution to actually get the traps to work.

Yeah, I got real excited when I saw Expedition Conquistador. But then I realized the was pretty much no chance of it winning. I hope it goes on sale later because I really want to buy it, but buying another turnbased strategy game is hard to justify now that I've bought both Eador and Fallen Enchantress: Legendary

Yeah I've wanted to Fallen Enchantress for ages but I just bought Eador (which is similar and very, very good in my opinion) so I don't know about doubling down.

Also I don't know if it makes a difference to you but Fallen Enchantress is turn based instead of real time, so the feel is probably quite different from

Haha yeah, sounds like you would despise this actually. It's definitely not for everyone.

I know right? SMT and Fire Emblem are literally the reason I bought a 3DS in the first place, and now I get $30 for buying them. So awesome.
