That's sorta true. I love Persona and I love SMT but for totally different reasons. All the really good character driven stuff and social management isn't in the main series but the game-play is significantly better in my opinion.

I think the most important difference is that your entire party (aside from the main

I just got Brave New World and tried out Brazil. They get double tourism during Golden Ages. That can be amazing if you can stay in Golden Age alot. If you want to try for a cultural victory I would give them a shot.

That's a really good point. Catering to a wider international audience would be a welcome change. There are so many exciting implications for the industry that I almost forget how awesome it is that they are making more of this.

I think it's really cool that they are having such a huge success despite not even knowing about Kickstarter until just recently. I hope the rest of the industry is paying attention, there is alot of potential in crowd-sourcing anime.

What albums are you thinking of? I would be all over anything that's like Loveless but better

If you want to be technical it's probably not a game but it's definitely not just an audio visualizer, the feedback is central to generating a sense of play.

I'm an old fashioned RPG fan and I couldn't get into the first persona either. Persona 3 and 4 on the other hand are wonderful. If I was made of money I would pick up a Vita just so I could play Persona 4 Golden.

Yep, I felt thoroughly miserable after finishing chapter 10. Having to fight and kill basically good people while your team is grieving is pretty rough. I think the music for that level is even more effective than the finale music.

Exactly. If you are using resets you still have to get everything perfect in the end, it's not like you are just throwing everyone at the enemy recklessly. It also frees you up to experiment with new strategies instead of just playing slow and safe.

That said when I first got the game I had just finished playing XCOM

Huh, I always though stealth was easier. I wasn't able to handle getting rushed by everyone in the building, I would get wiped out 99% of the time.

Not sure I like the idea of the new control scheme, I feel like it would be really hard to be as precise as you need to be with the analogue stick. That probably just me

The prototype for this is insanely addictive. Can't wait to get the full version, I'm interested to see what the alternative engine types are like.

Nah speaking from personal experience hipsters already got super into dubstep like 7 years ago when the first Burial LP showed up, then they all left once it got shitty and don't think about it much anymore

Yeah I don't think I knew it was a thing until I read the article on Sweden.

Best crazy Mass Effect theory I've read yet. I also really like Jordan's interpretation of the different endings being different kinds of afterlife.

In my opinion if you are down with equality you are alright in my book, regardless of how you want to identify yourself.

Well I had a long comment typed up and then the internet ate it, so you are getting the short version.

I realize that your in person interactions with self proclaimed feminists haven't been all that positive, but it is worth considering that you are on a feminist blog having a polite, thoughtful conversation. If the general population of feminists were assholes like your personal experience suggests than presumably

No worries, based on my cursory search of DAII mods you aren't missing out on much. Most of them are entirely cosmetic (The worst one was a mod to make Isabella have fair skin), I suppose my expectations for mods have been a bit inflated thanks to Oblivion and Skyrim.

Yeah I'm pretty sure shabby treatment of whales might actually end up being a major plot point. The outsider and whales seem to be really closely connected and presumably he isn't thrilled about what Dunwall is doing with them.

I never got into modding DAII, so I didn't know those mods existed. I'm not actually surprised, but it is kinda disappointing.
