I got a new vacuum recently and I actually do enjoy vacuuming now. My husband says I'm obsessed with it. Toilet cleaning, not so much.

I hear you! It's been on my "to do list" for some time to check out Astrid because of all the love for it on LH. Now I'm glad I never got around to it, so I'll never know quite what I was missing. Sort of shocking Yahoo would buy a service that people love only to kill it. Good luck finding a great replacement.

I'm not sure if it would meet your needs as I never tried Astrid, but I use doit.im and really like it. I learned about it in the comments of a Lifehacker post. Overdue stuff doesn't pop up in your face, but there's a "Today" list and overdue stuff shows at the top in red.

Thanks, I have VLC at home, so I'll give that a try

Hey OneManicNinja, iresq.com wrote me back and they don't repair the HTC model I have—only a few Android models at this time. It was worth a shot! Thanks again for the suggestion.

That's encouraging. I *might* give it a try!

Interesting. That has not been my experience. If I were you, I'd follow up with customer service with a specific example

agreed about losing the prime benefit with subscribe and save

Indeed! I ordered a Father's day gift after 5PM and it arrived at my dad's house the next morning by 10AM. I didn't have a chance to tell him to expect a package and put it aside until Father's Day. Couldn't be happier with Prime.

Ok, so at least I know the problem is not between the chair and the monitor. That's a relief!

I saw this.... wish there was some narration. I can totally handle unscrewing things, but it's the use of tweezers to pull back those foil bits without tearing them that makes me hesitate. Not to mention, a friend tried to repair her cracked screen and couldn't get the phone to work at all after. Have you ever done

Thanks for the recommendation! On their site, they only list a few Android models (not mine), but the prices look reasonable. I'll call them and see if they can service mine.

Thanks for the Craigslist suggestion. In my area, I've only found folks fixing iphones. I'd do it myself, but I watched a video and you really have to take everything apart and I worry that I'll damage something delicate.

HTC Amaze

Great post. I'm inspired to get his autobiography, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to download the audiobook m4b file

Anyone know where I can get an Android phone screen repaired?

Adam, do a Hive Five on pillows!

Nope. I don't fly frequently, but I like to earn frequent flyer miles when I do fly.

On the bright side, they still don't charge for the first two checked bags. I don't travel by air that often anymore because it's so damn expensive for a family nowadays. I recently booked a family trip and narrowed my flight schedules down to two airlines—Southwest's baggage policy won me over.
