I own a copy of Dragonlance SAGA. Should I go check eBay?

The issue is that human beings are so complex and unique and individual that making any sort of sweeping statement is going to lead us toward another shitty place. Baby steps, I suppose.
I think it's worth it to note that Anita is simply problematic, endstop. Here's a 2010 lecture she gave in which she claims she "isn't a fan of video games" and that in order to create a project that employed video game footage/focus she had to "learn a lot about video games".
You've got to love how the tenet that we should take women's voices seriously without silencing or dismissing goes out the window as soon as the content of that speech is deemed to fall short of dogmatic, Social Justice standards.
The worst part is how absolutely aggressive and totally asshole-ish whoever runs that Tumblr is to absolutely everyone. You'd seriously think that the result of this is that babies are murdered and cute kittens are thrown under trains. It's just so very hyperbolic that it just can't been taken seriously. Whoever runs…
As a somewhat frequent MBTA rider, I can't say this is surprising.
That's one oppressive dog. What privilege!
Since a lot of other shows have been put forward, I'd suggest SG1's "Prometheus/Unnatural Selection" which contained so much awesome within an hour and a half. First human beyond the lightspeed barrier? check. The replicators have built off of Reese and created the replicant-humans who bring an amazing new dimension…
And it's an absolute crying shame they could never really capture that same feeling again.
Am I reading the statement wrongly, or is he referring to the specific experience that he had, back when he was a child? An experience that included corporal punishment and sexual contact with a minor?
I'm in the larger financial services world, so maybe it's something about the industry.
And I think what you describe is certainly the default, especially for men. I do the same myself, or most often just wait for whoever I'm meeting to offer their preferred greeting (because it matters not to me).
To be honest, I work within a team that is predominantly women, including all three rungs up the ladder from my position and the women I work with tend to lean toward hugs rather than handshakes. It causes some momentary awkwardness, sometimes, when you put out your hand and they open their arms. Of course, I work…
That's the issue with too much of Moffat's recent two series, that at some point the show shifted from being a character-focused space-romp and became... something else? Series 5 was decent with a few shining good episodes. But the finale puts you directly where Moffat truly does seem to "lose it" as he keeps layering…
I'll take back all my negativity if they keep to the often great EU storylines.
It wouldn't be out of the question to use Thrawn with the "Jedi kids" and be able to easily point in a direction going forward other than the Vong. Sort of the Thrawn/Legacy mashup. If they're going to give the finger to the EU, I at least hope they have the sense to employ some of the better bits.
ZOMG! This changes everything!
I think we're in 100% agreement, with the semantics causing a perceived disagreement. The only real difference is that while you insist on the "realness" of patriarchy and rape culture, I honestly see the same issues as having class-based genesis and core and not limited artificially to just discussing a single point…
I always feel as if there has been a tragic pull over the last five years to a place where the real issues that effect everyone have been derailed and whitewashed in favor of focusing on emotional and questionable measures of "oppression".
I gave this a shot last night, and it's an absolute mess. There are way too many mechanics and variations on gameplay. Tape-tap-tap the screen; QT bar-filling; strange, automated "battles".
