Erm...I just wanted to chime in here...
I _think_ they meant that atomic clocks let us precisely determine the earth’s spin speed by comparing against fixed astronomical objects...but they fucked it up so bad that they instead wrote that atomic clocks have nothing to do with atoms...
Every time I read an article here I have to keep a giant grain of salt when you mess up such basic stuff like “Atomic clocks measure Earth’s spin relative to a distant astronomical object, typically a fixed star.” and the literal link you provide contradicts you... Even the name “atomic” clock should give you a giant…
WW84 has removed any hype I had for this movie...so I hope none of the ones you listed lest they be ruined in a canon movie that can’t be easily ignored.
My analogy was attempting to be “overly expensive minivan is ‘cheap’ compared to sports car” but maybe I failed slightly there.
“Starting at $2,100, the new Dell UltraSharp U4021QW ain’t cheap, but when compared to more expensive monitor’s like $5,000 Apple’s Pro Display XDR, Dell’s 40-inch curved display seems to offer a great balance between size, resolution, and features.”
So we got: new boring earbuds that finally add noise cancelling, a tile tracker clone (but without the benefits of a passive secure bluetooth network that apple has, meaning it’s literally no better than a tile), and adding the S Pen to the S line removing yet another differentiating feature between the S and Note…
One of the biggest was “nukes and magic walls can appear from thin air, that archeology girl can suddenly turn into a cat girl, the whole movie’s premise is based on a stupid ‘magic wishing stone’...but Steve had to possess some random guy’s body...”
Based on how stunningly awful WW84 turned out (nonsensical plot, awful effects, glossing over her raping a random guy after forcibly taking over his body...) maybe it was a good idea not letting her have full creative control...
This is one of the main reasons I’ve given up on anything Google (beyond gmail and google search). Everything they do seems to be abandoned within a year or two.
> the Nest Audio smart speaker. At $100 it is still the best-sounding cheap smart speaker you can buy right now.
Or, just take my solution. Have every meal either be a peanut butter sandwich or dining out (take out/delivery these days) since the mere idea of actually cooking is exhausting and the payoff of “food” is nowhere near worth the time.
What is with sneaker companies and doing godawful ugly sneaker collabs with video games. Is it _that_ hard to make something that actually looks good?
Branching storyline?! Fuck yes! That was the best thing ever in Black Ops II, this just became a must-buy for me
My point was that this situation is more like a “Affordable, good looking, powerful -> pick 2"
So that’s kinda my point. Your laptop is over twice the price and has a slower (most likely) cpu. Once Apple actually releases something in that pricepoint with Apple silicon, all bets are off.
HAHAHAHA looking at this in hindsight is so funny. No preorders were available until a couple weeks before. Every pre-order sold out within 5 minutes. By launch day it wasn’t even sold in-stores and every online drop lasted for under 1 minute. Literally the only way to buy it right now is to have a page notification…

Exactly, it has an entirely different purpose so giving a giant spec list and acting as if your laptop is better...when there is a different purpose here...
That’s my point...he’s trying to act like his laptop is so much superior...when it has significantly worse battery, likely has worse build quality and after-sale support, and is targeting an entirely different market.
