I disagree, mystery sibling responding to an old topic. Tyler’s mission was to dismantle the overseers of society; specifically the modern money-changers.

However, he was determined to do it in the most destructive way possible, leading to different possibilities as to what kind of alignment he falls on.

Christ-like

Also: Mark is, like, super gay. Right down to his choice in “beer”.

No Mondays are still terrible.

I don’t see what’s particularly Gay about this asides from how many really hot, half-dressed dudes there are on stage all at once and what your reaction to them probably was, Mark.

I know, I know, I’m just full of criticisms! It’s because I love you.

I want to live and work roundabouts the DC area.

West Virginia Panhandle: Live in the country, take the tram over to work in any number of cities.

You know I’ve heard that, repeatedly. Austin or Seattle people keep trying to lure me out of here when all I want to do is move up the East Coast. :P

While true about Transparent, it’s probably the first spotlight portrayal I’ve ever seen of a regular ordinary transgender person. That’s fantastic! There have been instances of “regular, ordinary transgender people” on TV and film, but they’re usually side-characters.

It’s just...start looking for it, if you can.

This is the Truman Show and we are all The Archons.

Or maybe just some of us. Tough to tell, really. As Above; So Below.

Stay tuned, then. If I can ever get my stuff off the ground you’ll be seeing some trans comedy sketches on youtube! I’d also love to do stand-up but sadly it’s not safe to around here. :I

I, also dislike the idea of limiting roles...but the problem is that’s what we need to do right now, because the roles are already limited to dead, hooker, or both. We need to take a break from being shown - and being seen - as dregs. We need trans heroes.

Well, the guy is clearly at fault for cheating on her, so my vote would be no.

They use misogynistic gay slang towards the woman and then go on to assault HER as their primary focus.

If it were just them attacking him, then it would still be misogynistic, but only for portraying trans women like this. Enough with insane

The planet fitness lady was a guest just going to hang up and retrieve her purse. That’s it. Anything else untoward about her behaviour is either the result of a smear campaign, or else the result of being old and growing up trans in a society that paints us as the film above does. When your only role models come in

Perhaps for some, but mostly I see our problems as being the result of old stereotypes perpetuated by the media, as per my issue with this film.

I mean, yes...you can be trans and crazy, and yes there are plenty of people of all kinds who are prostitutes, but that we see no presentation of regular ordinary trans people

There’s an adage that’s useful in distinguishing the difference between someone who has been given some manner of misogynistic fetish and someone who is just plain transgender:

A fetish involves how you want to go to bed with someone. Gender identity is about what you want to wake up out of bed as. Daily living is

No, not currently, as that would require standards of diagnosis that we don’t currently have because both the technology and the renewal in seeing transgender status as a medical condition and not a purely psychiatric one are still relatively new. You are correct about the criteria; it depends mostly on the

I’ve totally scored a nice blouse and a gorgeous sweater this way.

It’s alright, sister. Best to steel yourself for never being able to live it down now while you have the chance.

Ah, so you really are one of those.

Nooooope! Incorrect. Brains are dimorphic, mostly. Transgender brains pre-HRT tend to fall somewhere between the binary leaning towards the sex they identify as, with agender/nonbinary people really getting it in the shorts as no-one seems to have really even bothered studying them

If only.

Well,

I’d use it.
