For those of us who stuck it out through the first season, I feel like this is a reward for our loyalty.

I looked over the first season and second season’s cast just assuming that perhaps I had swapped characters around in my head between series and no, I didn’t. It’s got a pretty strong supporting cast made up of a diverse group of people.

Hells yah! I love it when identity politics gets shoehorned into everything ever because who doesn’t enjoy getting distracted from great storytelling by super important things like who has the acceptable amount of melanin?

Rightly criticized? I disagree. Her love interest is a black man. One of the most noble characters in the show is a black man who I don’t think was shortchanged at all in terms of story. Is it worth asking…

It doesn’t. Charles Pulliam-Moore has a race problem.

Some of the critiques of the movie have been (predictably, I suppose) about the short shrift the heroes get in screen time. But the whole point was they didn’t need it. You had several hours’ worth of character building in the previous movies and this movie took full advantage of that. Other than maybe Cap, everyone…

The reaction people (myself included) have had over this one goes to show you that this is a universe filled with characters that actually connect with people and you give a damn about.
