Every week I listen to Johnnie Walker’s Sounds of the Seventies on BBC Radio 2. Recently a listener sent in his story of meeting Townshend (and Paul Cook and Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols) in a club in London.  Later that night the incident related in those lyrics occurred.

“Who Are You” can come across like a novelty song if you don’t pay attention to the lyrics and just focus on the chorus. The song is fantastic.

Super ugly. She was my moms favorite artist, I learned that only after she died. Both Sides Now is a song I always reflect on the meaning, something is lost and gained in living every day indeed. Circle Game is my emotional release valve, play the notes and I’m a mess.

I cried while watching a film of her actual post-aneurysm debut, at the 2022 Newport Folk Festival.

Whatever the hell this movie is, count me in.

You can tell they’re so grateful! But man, do they deserve more than just one category!
