The old (current) Jetta isn’t great, but that’s not a secret. Not mqb yet, but instead based on a much older design, cheapened out for the US market. There have been just very few ‘true’ VWs in the US lineup: Golf, GTI, CC, Touareg. The Jetta was an old cheapened and stretched version of the old EU spec. The Passat a

Had that one as well, zero issues over the 3 years I owned it. And I pushed it hard.

That’s just nonsense. Across 3 of my VWs and 5 additional in the family, I haven’t noticed any degradation in the interior. In fact, after years they’d look better than a brand new Toyota. If people fucking eat in their cars and splash fat, coke and whatnot around the car, sure, it may look beaten up. But any

You know the lemon laws, right? So that’s really a bogus claim. Besides, there isn’t much to back up these ‘unreliable’ claims. Worldwide, all mqb cars taken together are probably the best selling car platform. While I wouldn’t bet on those turbos to last 20 years, you will usually get at least 3 completely trouble

Why keep a car so long? With proper service, I wouldn’t be concerned, but most dealership places don’t instill a lot of confidence.... Also, there are tons of really old VWs on US roads ... but one should be forward looking instead of looking back at old reputations

I wouldn’t keep a car that long. Besides, I have owned 2 VW’s for 3 years each, and I have had 0 issues. Being able to sell after 3 years with 3 years warranty left should also be easy.

mqb only fits traverse engine (q stands for traverse in German) so no 6 cylinder ... that said, their 2.0T can deliver up to 400 hp. 5 cylinders .... well

really? I thought being mqb based would mean that this is finally over ...

comes with 6 year 72k mile warranty .... so really a nonissue now

Any mqb far is just fine. The new jetta won’t be anything like the old one. Just please, don’t detune anything for the US market.

Let’s just wait to see how the new G does this ... not some old truck, with a makeshift replacement

Too early to tell, really ... you have to test it and see how the new G does ... Given the price point, expect some fine engineering that allows for even better off road capabilities in most situation

Is this the history channel? People complained about it long time ago. But no normal person would seriously open that wrong side. There is even a viral video about the issue that’s pretty funny. Not in English, but also works without hearing them.

Well, that’s probably it:

The TV report is confusing. If MARTA is still running, why aren’t people just going downtown, check in at some hotel and just wait while checking the news? I don’t understand.

APR?

Guy deserves it just for his stupidity. The risk was obvious, and Florida really isn’t worth it coming from Europe. What an idiot.

Curious, how are those ‘heroic’ Vietnam veterans who lost an illegal war any better?

Rules, rules, make them conform. If that’s the future of raising kids in this country, well, good night future.

I am pretty sure they have a couple of purchased ones on their lot ... But let’s get into reality of the corporate world: Some team of engineers working on a specific topic needs access to competitive information. The company-owned Teslas are at a different place or needed by another team of engineers. The fastest
