I was referring moreso to the style of her delivery, and even more specifically, to the “riptide” extended metaphor she has going. Like I said throughout the rest of my comment, she seems to know what she's talking about.

Is her cancellation advice vacuous?  She’s not exactly wrong, in my opinion.  Any attempts made by people to try to set the record straight usually go wrong for them, and most of the time, the less you pay attention to it (as the cancelled person), the better you come out.  So yeah, “don’t”, is not bad advice.

We can issue snarky invective all day, but the real question for me is the following: is this working/is this making her money/is this increasing the salability of her brand?

Having children who won’t have any real memories of you because you’ll be dead before they start kindergarten tells me that this is about something other than actually wanting to be a father.

Money isn’t the only requirement of decent parenting. If DeNiro and Pacino would be likely to live to 130 and keep their minds intact, then yeah, it wouldn’t matter. But the fact that both of them are statistically likely to drop dead and/or go senile long before their kids hit fourth grade should give any good…
