Well that’s disappointing...
I don’t think people appreciate Chris Meloni’s comedic chops enough. They only think of him from SVU or Oz, but the more I think about his role in Wet Hot American Summer (not to mention his super weird turn in Harold & Kumar) the more I think he’s perfect for Kreiger.
I like Namor BECAUSE he’s a smug sonuvabitch. He’s not really a good guy, even among his own kind, but when it comes to the greater good, he’ll grudgingly cooperate. If Marvel could get the Fantastic Four back and they could do a new iteration on Loki with Namor? I think those story possibilities fit perfectly with a…
I want to point out- she IS Hope Pym. Nadia means Hope in Russian. Good move Waid!

She would make an enjoyable (aged down) Helen Cobb.
So... Spider-Man vs. Birdman? (Script based on a story by Raymond Carver.)
He’s a master of disguises, that has to be useful.

Yeah, his new powers are the same as back when he was radio-wave Superman. And that Superman was even more silly than regular Superman, because he just gave himself new powers as they were needed. “Oh yeah, I can now um....go back in time by turning myself into light waves. I just thought of it.”
It’s amazing how many different “one of the best [movie thing]” questions there are to which Children of Men is the answer.
Great little video. Someone else has already pointed out that the first “Eleanore” should have been a ‘73 Mustang, so I’m not going to dig in on that. But I do believe that the ‘66 Batmobile was far more important than the Green Hornet simply because the ‘60s Batman ran longer in syndication, which probably impacted…
Now we know why the Waynes left the theater early in the first place.
The more I see of the Thing from the FFINO movie, the more I miss Michael Chiklis in a rubber suit. Or, hell, even the Corman version. And pants. I really miss pants.
how this got good reviews, i will never understand
I remember hearing that Shooter was pissed at Byrne for doing this but, as it was Assistant Editor's month, I can't see why it was such a big deal. It was actually a good — and I thought creatively clever/funny — way to tell the story (even if it did sort of rob fans of the "price of admission" to the issue).
