I was a motorcycle mechanic for a while in a previous life. Was doing a major top end overhaul on a Triumph triple that was a warranty job. The piston rings hadn't been bedded properly (follow the break in procedure and follow oil change schedules dammit!) and the bores were shot after only 15 000 miles or so. So I

You can buy a Daytona. But you can't buy one with this engraved on the back.

I work in the watch industry. I deal with fakes all the time... But I have a good story along the same lines:

Makes for a good story, but I doubt it's legit. There are other versions floating around via email and facebook which mention Brill. So, multiple edits, sketchy details, circulating on Facebook. Seems legit.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Shame they didn't continue developing it.

As far as the rules are concerned it's a V-4. The racing regs specified no more than 4 combustion chambers... So the oval pistons were Honda's way of cheating. Was not terribly succesful, but it was cool and the fact they built a street bike around one is evidence of Honda's occasional forays into enthusiastic

How about a tiny Aussie V-8? 750cc and something around 120 hp. There was also a 1000cc version. Flat plane so it sounds like a Ferrari V8, 'cept it revs to around 16 000 rpm. The Moto Guzzi 500cc V8 also gets my vote. http://www.odd-bike.com/2013/01/drysdale-v8-homebrew-aussie-eight.html

Funny thing is most of these cars listed are in Gran Turismo at some point or another. GT4 had a lot of obscure and weird stuff, they kinda had to to pad the game up to 700 odd cars once they ran out of Skyline variants. GT5 has over 1000 but most are just cribbed from GT4 with slightly tweaked graphics.

Lots of myth and legend round that one. Here's a good summary of the "truth", such as it is. http://www.evo.co.uk/features/features/228789/the_beast.html

Obvious choice is obvious: Bizzarini Lamborghini V-12s.

This guy... He knows what it is all about. He knows real passion. He know how a person can love an object against all rationality. He is a true car guy. He also knows how to build a mighty fine workspace (though it is far too clinical for my liking, doesn't look lived in yet). I tip my hat to you, sir.

Two wheels bad, it sucks, GTR ruelz, so on and so forth. It's a 1098 or a base 1198 (not S or SP), notice the black 10 spoke alloys. I'd guess 1098 based on the performance, the 1198 has significantly more punch... About 10hp more with a fatter midrange. Dig Bifference on a bike.

My personal pet idea, which I may someday do, is to buy a decent fox body Cobra 5.0 and mercilessly gut it like the feature car. No sound deadening, no insulation, no interior, nothing. Throw in a roll cage and some choice performance parts and boom, street legal adrenaline rush without breaking the bank. Obviously

Here in Montreal they have a few Concours 1400GTR (aka the touring version ZX-14). Why a cop need a 155hp missile is beyond me, the BMW boxers they use are quick enough to keep up with most situations.

Like this one, which is a Superbike spec 851 Raymond Roche Replica (not replica as in looks like a race bike, it's an actual privateer race bike from the factory based on Roche's superbike winning mount - complete with spares crate) that a certain actor managed to register for the road, despite having zero street

I've seen stranger things that were registered. I'm into bikes and there are a few Ducati non-road-legal homologation specials that just so happened to have 17 digit vins... Today if you can get your hands on them, and you live in a state/province with no inspections or emissions checks, you're going to have a good

I have no real desire to own a black rifle but I respect those who do. The problem isn't the tool, it's the user.

No guard rails means even fewer fatalities. See, they kind of have a tendency to kill motorcyclists on impact. You are better off sliding into a ditch than into a sheet metal blade.

If you could eliminate the possibility of rust, sure would. But you can't, so I won't. Come up north to Canada to see some REAL rust ingress. You'll see 5 year old cars that look like they should be 25 years old based on how quickly they are falling apart.

Another one, this one actually seems to work too. 5 cylinder Axial engine. http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2011/09/08/duke-engines-5-cylinder-4-stroke-3-injector-valveless-axial-engine/
