Yep, Limbaugh called her a dog. A 13(?) year old child was being harassed about her appearance on national media.

Ok, you’re a child. We’re done here. Congrats on your guy winning. He’s definitely draining the swamp by hiring the same old insiders and already walking back his promises.
Remember when Rush Limbaugh had a TV show and he said, (I’m paraphrasing) “So the Clinton’s finally put a dog in the White House,” and then they panned to a terrible picture of teenaged Chelsea? Yeah, I think you’re right in guessing Barron will have it easier, although the people in Manhattan sure won’t.
Of course they can - anyone can - but if you run for President it’s expected you will live at the White House. That’s not new. Don’t be obtuse.
I assume the Secret Service will have to set up a permanent office in Trump Tower, for which they will have to pay rent to the Trump Organization.
Yeah. I’m still bereft that we won’t have a First Gentleman and it won’t be Bill :(
Ugh, this shit is so tiresome. Here’s the thing: the Office of the First Lady has a budget, a staff, a whole shitload of interest groups who have urgent matters that the national profile of the First Lady could greatly aid by talking about; in short, a national platform with which to advocate for matters of importance…
Fair! I was thinking of Bill as being in the group of potential First Spouses...or maybe I’m still a little bit in denial about the current political situation.
Question: How good is your sabotage game?
Counterpoint to the don’t-give-him-any-money argument: Is this a hotel that would be specifically paid for only if you stayed there, or is this a situation where your employer currently owns/leases the space, and you would just be occupying a room/suite that has already been paid for? If the latter, I would be tempted…
When I think of the countless military families moved at the government’s whim multiple times, my sympathy for them runs a little low. And the fact that HE DOESN’T PAY TAXES SO THIS IS ALL ON US makes me a tiny bit ragey.
If it is on offer, I say go for it just to check it out. But apparantly security is so tight there right now and probably for decades to come. Your cell and internet will probably be monitored and god knows what else, but it would be a chance to see how the home of a President is operated.
I’m not saying that Barron deserves to get shat on like the rest of his godawful family (at least, that wasn’t my intent): he’s a goddamn kid, probably didn’t ask for any of this and to-date hasn’t given me a reason to dislike him (unlike his sibs). All I’m saying is that Melania and Barron shouldn’t get to live in…
This president clearly doesn’t give a shit about precedent.
I think the Secret Service would like to disallow it but can’t. There’s a reason the First Family lives in the Whitehouse and the kids attend Sidwell Friends School; they’re secure. This is going to be a terrible burden on the Secret Service and the taxpayer.
When I think of what Chelsea Clinton endured as a child in the White House, I really just don’t think Barron will get it nearly as bad.
The relationships in this family are so bizarre. Even the way the ”family source” talks about Melanie and Baron... “they’re very close”... well I would certainly fucking hope so?? He’s a child and that’s his mom, one would just assume they were close. It would only be noteworthy if they weren’t, am I right?
“...Melania is extremely close to Baron,” the source told the Post, “and they have become closer during the campaign...”
Let’s be real: Melania has been keeping away from Donald’s white hose for a while now.
Glad to see the Drumpfs upholding the Republicans’ tradition of fiscal responsibility by needlessly adding expense and complications to the presidential security arrangements.
