Hawaiian pizza is amazing, even from Papa Johns, and I don’t want to hear any arguments about it.
Over on the AVClub, someone pointed out that there’s a ton of unfiled messages in the mailroom for a place that hasn’t had a new arrival for 500+ years. Maybe something’s happened to the Good Place staff?
I really cannot gush over how amazing a job D’arcy Carden did. Even before putting everyone back in their clothes, you could tell exactly who was who just from body language.
Or European devs - like Spiders who’ve done some weird but good stuff like Bound by Flame (I still get a kick out of some random NPC, concerned that my character had sprouted, horns warning her that the more the demon got control the less of my main character there was - lady, I like this demon infinitely more than…
They couldn’t fit another year of Amazon Prime into the budget, so no more free shipping, sadly.
So because humorless internet nerds obsess over stupid things, normal people can’t have fun winks and nods?
Because James Wan directed it? It’s just supposed to be a fun Easter egg, a reference to another movie in his filmography.
To be fair, in one episode of Flash, someone (I want to say like the second or third Wells?) pointed out that, to him, his world was Earth-1 and theirs was, like, Earth-3 or something, but he decided to be polite about it.
I kind of figure any kind of serious investigation would probably lead to Potter’s doorstep eventually - like the SNL sketch about the ‘lost ending’ to the movie.
I don’t know if your math is accurate, but your overall analysis feels spot-on. If all the big name games are gone from Steam - and it really seems like a matter of time at this point - what’s left?
All I want is playable JFK. Give me that, and I’ll buy Blops 4 today.
The idea about a lonely universe willing to endanger itself and another reality just to not be alone actually reminds me a bit about one of Diane Duane’s Star Trek novels, The Wounded Sky.
Kara Danvers wears glasses. Supergirl doesn’t!
At least in TOR you got the Light Side/Dark Side points for your vote regardless of what the majority decision was. (And maybe a bonus if your choice won? It’s been a while.)
Hopefully some third-party games. I loved, loved, LOVED those old Rennovation games back in the day - Thunder Force 3, Gain Ground (a perennial favorite to 2p with my brother), Final Zone (still one the games I’m proudest of beating). Plus stuff like Bimini Run, X-Men 2: Clone Wars, etc.
Seems to me an easy fix would have been to transplant the city that most of the film’s set in to another country, and have the squad be sent in to deal with some vague WMD threat. Maybe it’s an allied nation, maybe it’s, like, China or something that the US can’t afford to anger - either way, that’s why the Suicide…
Would you be cringing equally if the line was, “So I met your husband yesterday”?
Ah yes. I too am deeply concerned with historical accuracy in my movies about wizards and magic animals and way too many people with alliterative names.
I haven’t seen Happy Death Day, so I don’t know how well that bodes, but My Best Friend’s Exorcism is a good book, so I’m intrigued. I think I liked Horrorstor a little better better, though. It seemed more... focused?
My brother is fond of pointing out that of all the Pokémon trainers shown in the carton, Jessie and James are actually the best - Ash can’t even get friggin’ Charmander to obey him and James’s Victreebell loves him SO MUCH that it can actually interfere with their evil plans. And Jessie’s Arbok loves her deeply too.…
