Groening has said a few times, most recently here: [tv.ign.com] , which the gizmodo article overlooks that he kinda doesn't know where its set and its up to you.

I normally stay sequestered to io9. Can't even visit [gawker.com] for stories anymore.
In the actual uncut interview he doesn't say that it is Springfield, Oregon but that he when he was younger he imagined there being this great city close to him. And that he doesn't really know where it is and always tells people its where they think it is.
I stopped watching like 1 week after Nora left. I was working 80 hours weeks and so I missed it and it was 1 of 3 shows that I never bothered to catch up on. And I still have no desire to after reading this recap...
Nice job CJA...I guess I'll have to read it now too.
Even Zombie Don Draper can score more then anyone else.
You'll have to wait in line!
" Especially over Sleeping Beauty, who must be some sort of demon because that girl there was 100% in the cartoon." - Not seeing it at all, that Rapunzel on the other hand was 100% in Tangled
Seriously though, have I seen a different version of Highland II then everyone else? The fan scene with Ramírez is amazing.
Jury Duty?! Come on.
Okay...Highlander II is my preferred Highland film...I have Super Mario Bros. on VHS and was thoroughly upset that it never got a sequel, I love Phantom Menace, and think Pluto Nash is a great all around movie...so...yeah, thats not good.
Regarding 7) Is that the same scene where Q then says "Eat any good books lately" back to Worf? Always loved that scene.
Yeah it typically takes me 1 hour to travel what would normally take me 15 minutes...simply too much traffic for no reason during the working hours...of course I took Route 4 which is even worse.
Yeah whenever I visit family in Montgomery County they request that I bring booze with them. I was appalled the only time I went to a liquor store in PA...especially since I thought NJ was already expensive enough.
Yeah that's Paramus.
There's a lot Disney doesn't want you to see. I don't know if they still do backlot tours at Disneyland(CA) but it's pretty filthy back there and run down and they warned us about taking pictures there. And when someone in my group did they had their camera taken and didn't get it back.
Bergen County, NJ...old Dutch blue laws still in effect. We get liquor on Sundays but only between 10 and 5. We don't get electronics, clothes, building supplies, and a whole bunch of stuff on Sundays though(Home Depot, Best Buy, etc have to stay closed). Black Friday is also kinda meaningless here...good times.
I live in Bergen County, NJ...and for some reason I just read an article about us being the last blue law county left...how strict are you guys? Do you guys do Black Friday? Because around here it means a store can open up at 8(maybe 6 or 7 depending on the circumstances) instead of 9 or 10 am...it's a little…
Same boat. Watch the show, don't particularly care for it, but these are all pure gold.
It's most definitely that, lightsaber battles are about finesse and attrition...and emotion.
