At least one of the three stewards is a former race driver with thorough experience, including three runnings of the Monte Carlo Rally. One of the other two used to be the president of the Tour de Corse organizing committee for a number of years, and I believe he rallied before that.

Or, you know, the driver/co-driver could use the radios and emergency beacons in their cars to have medical aid sent.

Watching Thursday’s WRC+ stream on a second monitor at work was a moment of small triumph this week. Especially when the commentators started discussing drivers’ upcoming wedding plans in a slow moment.

Why can’t anyone make super-deformed versions of current WRC cars like the ones below (link)? They look spiffy, would make for excellent keychains or thumb drives, can introduce kids to WRC quite well and is just a quaint little novelty overall.
