I remember the days of NIRA, featuring this car and Stephen Papadakis’s Civic. Those were the days.

The only thing I learned from this was that Freightliner still makes the Argosy, but doesn’t sell it in the US or Canada.

There was need for that. Imagine if a car had passed them and not given them a full lane’s width. If a hazard had come up (which is common) during that time and the car had not given them enough room to swerve to avoid it, they could have either fallen off the bicycle or would have needed to stop very quickly. Imagine

I’m a Mazda guy, but I totally disagree. The Probe was the better looking car.

You know what? There’s a Maxima that runs around town with nice BBS wheels. Probably a guy who had to compromise for practical reasons. Maybe he just loves Maximas. Either way, it’s tasteful. This... is hideous.

Lots of cars have that these days. Many just add fake black triangle windows.

In all fairness, Japan has more safety nannies than the US. Different ones, at least. For example, large trucks cannot have any openings on the side above a certain height. That is why you have guards along the sides of the trucks like so.
