beatmania isn't even the same type of music game as DJ hero. just because one of the buttons is turntable shaped doesn't mean they compare. and no, I don't consider beatmania better.

the fact is the touchscreen is better for media functions than a controller because it allows you to skip to exact points, wind and scroll at your own pace and navigate menus much faster.

yeah, the touchscreen makes the app a much better media manipulator than a controller

the phone app, at least the wp7 one anyway, is a better media control device than a controller thanks to the touchscreen

from what I hear all we will be missing is the higher resolution support and some higher end processor related feature.

heard recently somewhere on kotaku that one of the big cell providers was trying to put some weight behind wp7 soon. hopefully that will help people stop ignoring the platform. the OS is f'ing amazing, I have honestly NEVER been happier with a cell phone for as long as I have with my WP7.

WP7 already has this functionality via the xbox companion.
