the original ps5 is actually not glossy, lol. it’s matte white with a texture. only the black center is glossy.

we do need a performance upgrade. psvr2 is a wonderful toy that’s greatly hamstrung by the PS5's internals that simply don’t do the games justice. GT7 is a powerhouse experience that could simply be so much better with a performance boost.

i think the reason they produced fewer of the digital consoles in the past is because it wasn’t as profitable to them at that price point. if raising the price helps sony manufacture more of the digital option, i’m okay with that, as i am done with discs—as much as i hate to say it, storing them was becoming too…

xbox doesn’t even have VR. it can’t even be said that their console offers all of the same kind of games anymore. without VR they’re simply not as comprehensive of a game machine. 

they’re not really restoring it, just changing the outputted resolution and color space yet again to suit contemporary viewing methods. i assume whatever master of the film has been made was locked down a decade ago or more. studios started producing 4k archival scans of their films in the mid to late 00's.

what’s a bit funny is that they previously added the warm tone to the 2009 restoration, whereas the original dvd was cooler and more neutral. so they’re not really restoring the film at this point, just setting and re-setting the color tone to give us that feeling of generational change.

Houses, cars, and food are more expensive because there’s a naturally limited supply of things that are essential.

i personally don’t think the cost of games should’ve gone up. yeah, inflation is real, but on the other hand, many MANY more people buy games than they did twenty years ago.

well, the film is being released in two parts. it’s not “technically” one four hour film, but two two hour films + another, longer version of both films cut together. 

no mention of Ray Stevenson rather pointedly being dead.
