They cancel their shows so readily that it’s hard to actually get connected to anything on the service. It feels like, if you’re not on team Stranger Things, there’s only ever 1 season - MAYBE 2 - of anything else.

I can’t believe people still come the comment section for this show every week to comment that they can’t believe the show is still on.

Oh my god... Inhumans the series WAS SO BAD!

I loved their inclusion in AoS, though :)

Also, keep in mind Inhumans was originally going to be a movie, they even announced it as a film at one of their events (but clearly, plans changed), but before the show came out and was the worst, there was clearly incentive on

I’ll never find the article, but I remember Chris Evans voicing his reluctance to sign his initial 6 picture contract as Captain America.

When Fox announced they were going to squeeze in Quicksilver after Marvel announced Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch for Age of Ultron, Marvel responded by retconning that the pair were never mutants, and their origins got way more complicated in the aftermath.

This was along the same time they were seemingly deemphasizing

How do you know that this interpretation is “as intended”?

I kept trying for a witty reply, or at least something critical of each point outlined in that email... but I think I lost IQ points reading it and am at a loss...

If anything, with as perturbed as he was about Carpenter’s pregnancy on Angel, he likely valued “sterile” as a virtue for women rather than something that made them a “monster”...

I definitely don’t deny that many people would have (and have) legitimately interpreted it in a way that (I believe) wasn’t intended.

It was a poorly written scene, no matter how you slice it. It was quite sometime after the movie premiered that I heard anyone take that scene in such a way (and it was somewhere on the

Except that, countless other people interpreted as it was intended... she felt like she was a “monster” because she was molded from youth to be a killer.

It was messy as hell for the writing to tie that into her relating to Bruce with respect to neither being able to have children, but when countless people have long

Read Carpenter’s statement... she was very specific.

Wasn’t expecting or wanting a happy ending, just one consistent with the characterization we had seen for several seasons.  That ending just didn’t really make any sense.

I agree with you 100%.  As a consumer who is the target audience for these products (and not someone paid to critique them), I enjoy the predictable, consistent naming convention that allows me, at a glance, to have some understanding of what the thing is.

No, Catie is ;)

This isn’t actually what happened, and there are more than enough reasons to criticise Whedon that we don’t need to misrepresent this scene any further.

It would be like if one day a movie came out and there was a term for “superhero” and no one said “superhero” anymore.

Except, this isn’t a kickstarter aimed at getting public support to eventually go to retail.

As the article pointed out, the team behind this was using kickstarter as a means to pool their internal money sources into a single, transparent place so they could try to get about 100 units built so that they could have

I wrote this earlier:

I remember hearing some of that, but like with Fisher’s accusations, there was a lot of vagueness then and she seemed to walk back so much of what she had said at various points later that it really muddied a clear narrative (including her saying she would work with him again, as she mentioned in her twitter post).

I read most of this thread and I appreciate your insight, experience, and sharing of some deeply personal issues.

It was frustrating watching others jump on you, ignore the majority of the points you were trying to make, take others out of context, and just generally trying to steamroll your experiences.
