Unfortunately it really takes at least some measure of investment in the expanded material to catch the nuances of a lot of that stuff. I love Star Wars (I’m not a zealot with it either, and I don’t consume ALL of the extra or expanded material), but ultimately the saving grace of the Prequel Era for me was the Clone

It’s George Lucas’ head canon too, so.... There’s plenty here supporting that if you care to look at it.

Not to be THAT guy, but the last episode I watched was the finale of Season 7. I figured this episode would be more of what turned me off on the show to begin with... a combination of basically misery porn and cheap gimmicks... doesn’t really sound like I was wrong about that.. HOWEVER, I’m intrigued and might try

Lucas was answering this very question while EP3 was still out. And the most important thing you have to consider and remember with George Lucas is he didn’t write those movies for the “movie going public”, he wrote his story the way he wanted it, and the backlash to that is ultimately why he sold Star Wars and left

Its important to keep in mind that “balance” in the Force isn’t an equivalent amount of light and dark... the “dark side” is essentially a perversion of the Force and its presence is disruptive and unbalancing.

Think of the Force like a peaceful lake with a smooth surface... this is its natural, undisturbed state...

massive amounts of entertainment media is based on emotions unsettled in ways that would be fixed with a good dose of “open your mouth solve your problem” I am aghast and amazed when ANY show has communication trust and still can create drama.

Lol, that’s -exactly- why I stopped watching at the end of Season 7... the world is falling to shit, I decided I needed my entertainment to be less so (and the show turned into cheap cliffhanger gimmick). I’ve been following the recaps this season, and it seems like they found their narrative footing again. I might

wubba lubba dub dub!

Frankly, as long as it doesn’t go too far, I am down with this practice.

So.... I guess they are undoing Loki’s death then.  I assumed everyone caught in the “snap” would be fine, but there’s been nothing to indicate anyone else that died has any chance of not really being dead.  *shrug*

Probably so. Although I want to say it was somewhere in Avengers you could hear her “slip into it”. I’ve assumed that her lack of an accent (story wise) is a matter of “Russian spy blending into surroundings” and so she was trained to have lost it most of the time. But yeah, what you said.

In the earliest days of MMPR when they needed to shoot “American” footage of the Green Ranger, the only suit/resources they had featured the flimsy chest piece (it was a cheap, and hurried costume that remained in use for a while). It wasn’t until years later when certain cosplay prop makers became a thing that we see

I didn’t expect to see the one I came here to post listed lol :)

Yay science and all, truly, but I can’t help but to find my favorite part of a lot of these new advances has been the feeling that the people behind Doom are also getting to name these things. Like, we’re two steps from “Big-Ass Fuckin’ Satellite!” being the name of one of these things.

I believe you are exactly right. I think it was a similar sorta thing with Groot in GotG, I just wish they would have been as clear about the fact in the movie itself that the Groot we knew in GotG was gone, and the Groot that was growing at the end was technically his offspring and not a continuation of the same

There was a good Avengers sequel buried in all the mandates and additional stuff the studio needed shoe-horned in to build toward and lay the ground work for Civil War, Thor returning to Asgard, Thanos coming, etc.  Same sort of thing that hurt Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3.

Not really. Marvel/Disney is light years ahead of where DC is, and DC could spend the next decade trying to catch up to what Marvel has put out and they’ll still be lagging behind.

Even the mighty Joss Whendon couldn’t turn around JL.
