even now i can only stand ska in bits and pieces. like the only bands i’ve ever tolerated were op ivy, whenever rancid broke into a ska riff, and slapstick who were more a punk band with horns than a full blown ska band imo.

i’m glad this is being received well because the trailers did make the sequel seem like a mr. mom/role-reversal story which would’ve been simple and quite lame. looking forward to watching this with the kids!

i think the fun/enjoyment is that it’s character/story-driven, but takes place in a cruel environment. the gameplay isn’t revolutionary, but given the setting and limitations in place, it’s challenging.

just watched the clips. most of the games look pretty nice. is it weird that the use of english in that samurai game seems so out of place? i wonder if they’ll have a language/subtitle option.
