LOL, no hate here, man, go enjoy! My OCD just can't deal!

Oh, I know it's statistically not that big of a risk, it's just me. I was hospitalized years ago with food poisoning from undercooked chicken/dairy (bad chicken a la king.) It was bad, to the point that I wondered if I was going to die (MAKE. THE. VOMITING. STOP. PLEASE.), and I have just been a bit OCD about food

Thanks for the rec, neighbor! :)

Lol, actually, no, I go for medium steak. I DO order mid-well burgers (No pink, but no char if possible; trying to find that E coli O157:H7 vs. heterocyclic amines balance. :-P

What I can't get is, how did they physically eat the kale if it was as old as the poster said? I've had old kale (bag forgotten in the crisper drawer; looked ok, so I thought I would run with it) and it had the consistency of thin shoe leather....

Ah! I've never noticed these, probably because they don't appear to be labeled "Organic', which I look for. They appear to meet all of the criteria for it, though! I wonder why they aren't labeled as such!

LOL, I have those EXACT cups! I simply cook them longer! And yes, I am in Florida, U.S.A., where we stupidly wash the protective coatings off of our eggs so we are forced to sell them refrigerated. I can get fresh-from-under-the-chicken-and-still-with-hay-stuck-to-them eggs when I visit relatives in Maryland, but here

Nope! Enjoy your runny eggs; I'll send you flowers in the hospital. I'll be over here, enjoying my firm, light-yellow poached eggs!

I have seen what happens to the textbooks in my class set, and the thought of replacing them with tablets is not great. Our English texts cost between $60-$80, and last for 5 -8 years, for an annual cost of less than $15. I can't see tablets beating that, plus the cost of keeping them charged! Also, if a kid knocks

Oh, I have no problem with this info being disseminated; I encourage it, of course! I simply wanted to clarify for other readers that just because the law is there, it does not mean that it is being followed, and the lower-than-minimum-wage pay for many is NOT a "Myth". I myself had several negative-value paychecks

But then you have to peel them.

Middle school teacher here... trust me, they don't NEED ANY devices at all! I see electronics, I take them away until after class!!

This is precisely why I discourage my middle-school students from using e-readers in class; not because I want them to pull out a dictionary immediately, but because I want them to try to use context clues for unknown vocabulary, a tested skill in my state!

I read a paperback book after binge-reading five or six books on my Nook, and I caught myself tapping the edge of the PAPER to try to turn the page... *facepalm*

I think it's a tragedy that so many people have children when there are so many children in need of homes. [….] Too many parents, I feel, have children to fill some hole in their lives. If you are going to have children, make sure it is about them, not about you. And adopt.

And every time someone posts this, it has to be stated that restaurants rip off servers ALL. THE. TIME. For many, if you file a complaint with USDL, you risk getting fired. Yes, it's illegal, but most servers do not have the $ to hire a lawyer to press this, and restaurants know it. So, yes, many many servers ARE

My cats do things like this for me all of the time :) I get attacked with love and snuggles everyday when I get home from work!

*facepalm* You are completely missing the point (I suspect, on purpose....) I'm done here. Good day, sir.

True, and equally sad.
