I read Wolfhound Century a few weeks ago and the names had me curious at first, they didn't seem really Russian. As more and more is revealed in the story we realize this is a different world altogether, not an alternate Soviet Union at all (although there are teases that it may have connections to other realities). Here the Company approaches Smaug's cave. I think Tolkein would approve. The tiny figures admist the looming forces of mountain, water, and fire seem very Scandinavian, no?

I was curious what the Costume Designer would wear, then I saw "Habit de Tailluer". Make sense that it is the least fantastikal of the bunch. "Uh, lemme put this box on my head. Bam, done." It's like the only barber in town having the worst haircut. Very impressive how he can lift that table though.

In September, a YA book calledDodger comes out. It appears to be about the Dickens character and not Don Drysdale as I previously thought.
