I didn’t see that part.  Do older Fords even have over-the-air updates? Does Ford have a way to disable this feature on vehicles that already have it?  I can’t see the benfit.

I get your point and don’t necessarily disagree, however we know where the Mars Rover is, making it easy to find. We don’t know where this is, it has no communication with the mother ship (ha ha), making it difficult to find.
