Wait, what’s wrong with Beadle besides being used as a 2nd rate CNN reporter twitter-reader?

You left out the fact that the picture looks all smoky because that is actual smoke pouring over the hills outside the stadium from all the forest fires in Western Montana/Idaho/Eastern Washington
Fuck this noise, at this rate I’m going to sign up for whatever online package the KBO League has and revel in all of its bat pinwheeling and somersaulting, pop star pitching glory. I know our country was founded by Puritans, but the day we get out celebrated by a nation that thinks blaring megaphones is a realistic…
Not if Art Briles can beat Jimbo to the punch
What does an anti-littering campaign have to do with poor reading comprehension?
I’m growing increasingly concerned that the top 10 is going to be all Big 10 and SEC teams plus Oregon. If you all didn’t take the opportunity to make somebody write a semi-serious take on UMass’s playoff chances then you might as well head over to ESPN’s power rankings. For shame

My dad had season tickets since back in the Shea Stadium days. I remember seeing him get up on Sunday mornings and resigning himself to 12 hours of traffic, hanging out in a cold parking lot, the game, waiting to get out of the stadium/parking lot, and then even more traffic. He looked like he was going to a buddy’s…
No, Kevin, this is comment is a perfectly rational use of a person’s effort. To wit, I’m planning on spending every Sunday this fall commenting on all of the NFL posts that football’s nice and all, but I just don’t get why people bother watching. As if anybody gives the slightest shit that I feel this way.
That’s a good point I wasn’t thinking of with HBO’s streaming only platform. They’ll especially be trying to drive subscriptions of HBO Now since the whole point is you don’t need cable for it.
I’ll admit I’m not completely up on the numbers behind podcasting (hey Drew and Marchman, want to tell us how much you’re raking in from those DraftKings ads?), but I’m pretty sure they pale in comparison to what they would want from a flagship entry into the market by a major media entity.
So HBO gets to pay millions of dollars for the thing that Simmons is worst at while also benefiting from the creative guidance that, judging by years of his columns, boils down to “do what HBO does.” Brilliant move
Wow, thanks for this. And I see from wikipedia that it’s a lobster man, not a lizard man so I have to rethink my whole metaphor for Steve Ballmer now.
I don’t know how many people are going to watch Chris and Cliff Paul banging on some typewriters and arguing with each other over who Doc Rivers loved more
Nah, take the whole free agency saga in 3 acts and it’s more Sam Shepard with Chris Paul storming out and bringing in the freshly dug up corpse of an infant as DJ...or Blake Griffin?
You, my friend, need to reacquaint yourself with Silvio Berlusconi
I remember being at the Mets game that Lastings Milledge hit the 9th inning home run to send the game to extra innings and when he was going back out to right field to start the 10th he gave a bunch of fans high fives along the way.
That’s the problem, she knows exactly when to seemingly cross the line so that the New York Times will fall all over itself to write puff pieces on how she’s so enlightened and wonder aloud if only all people we disagree with could be so rational.
Nothing would seal this like FIFA cutting off the large potential growth market cum nose that is the USA just to spite its bloated, bribery-and-slavery-pustule ridden face
I’m not so sure this time. I bet the Swiss let this happen to protect Sepp from the FBI, but it’s not a guarantee that some of these Concacaf and Conmebol countries that were all planning on voting for Blatter won’t flip to Prince Ali just to cover their asses while the US is looking to upend the FIFA power dynamic.…
