my mr2 makes maybe 90 lb-ft on a good day. It's still a blast to drive, at 2200lbs. Granted, I am looking into a turbo for it, but it doesn't change the fact that I love the car as-is. and Im sure TRD will offer a turbo package for this car.

250 hp in 2600lb car is pretty damn good. Better than the MR2 Turbo, in fact, and that car is a blast to drive. and I'm sure that with the whole TRD package (cams, injectors, ecu flash, turbo, FMIC), this thing will break 330 at the wheels
How so? 2600lbs and 200hp is pretty damn good. it might not be a torque monster, but it'll still get up and go, and it will corner like a dream. This was engineered to compete with Miatas and Gen Coupes. I think they actually hit the mark perfectly on this one (or missed it completely, if you think they were aiming…
I dunno about better than the 2JZ, but it's certainly a solid engine. Maybe even worth calling the new "3VZ"
2GR is a pretty damn good engine already. Swapped into an MR2, it'll wreck most cars under 100k. The supercharged version is even better, and while a GS is somewhat heavier than an MR2, I'm certain it still gets up and goes pretty well. This package just means that it can now corner and brake just as nicely.
Camry. More specifically, any of the rare 3vz-powered, 5-speed equipped Camrys. 0-60 in 6.5 seconds if you row the gears right, and will chirp the tires at 120 km/h. Rated at 185 bhp, but will crack 200 with 5 minutes of your time and a screwdriver (adjusting afm). 240 with a replacement y-pipe, and DIY port/polish.
SMARTUKI!!!!
Fuck yeah sith!!! >:D
Seems like someone's gonna have a shitty drive to work
Jerk.
Looks like an MR2...
i can vouch for it's invisibility field - shits magic!
I was pondering that yesterday myself. How we have progressed...
Lexus LFA - I don't ever haul much, it's fast as fuck, sounds great, and when it comes to snow, I'm sure a set of rally-grade dunlops will help me out. :)
I can vouch for this. My dad, has a E46, awesome dude. Friend of mine has an E46 m3 as well. also pretty awesome guy. Every other bmw owner i know (friends included) - Massive Douche.
the 2nd gen was heavier and didn't handle as well... and turbo models are far more common. bit expensevi, but still, it's rare, and if it's in good shape, I'd drop 5k on it
TBH I bought my AW11 for $850 - '89 N/A with a spun crank bearing, and shitty tires, radio and highbeams that don't work. but super clean body. T-tops, mint interior, not a sport of rust, freshish paint job. Perfect for a mk1.5 swap, I would've paid $1k for that.
i'd rather not see it burnt at the front end - 1mz & 3vz motors are great to swap into an mr2!!!
not mine!!!! :D
