Maricopa County has nearly 3/5th of the entire state’s population. Downtown Tucson is over 100 miles from downtown Phx.

No stadium or plans for one. If San Antonio built a 40k downtown ballpark on speculation, then the D’Backs have leverage.

I honestly think that Montreal is still a viable market for MLB, only not in Olympic Stadium. MLB got frustrated with the market because of cultural/linguistic issues that aren’t relevant to Toronto, and thus allowed the team to flounder.

I should have been clearer in that no market “large enough to support MLB” has a stadium or plan. Omaha is the 74th largest media market.

Close. Cynicism.

The D’Backs should just pick up and move. Oh wait.. to where? No market has a stadium or even a plan for stadium to handle an MLB team.

Administration applauded? Nah... They’re (allegedly) in the business of running a Div. I-A football program at a power conference. Claeys sins weren’t worthy of more than a dressing down by the A.D.

I’ll never not be amazed at how the Glen Mason firing continues to fuck Minnesota over.

The Giants’ recent success has doomed the A’s in the Bay Area. At this point, they should move to another market, assuming some idiot government is willing to build them a stadium. Some of the largest markets without Major League Baseball include:

No, no somehow I have entered an alternate dimension where Reid milks the clock to perfection. I feel dizzy.

Johnny’s a competitor. Right now he’s looking at Ryan Leaf’s post-NFL life and is thinking, “I can top that.”

At rush hour, they may as well be.

A1) 12th largest Metro area in the US (> 4.5 Million)

More than likely yes. Also, that’s a better idea than building a facility in Tempe for just the Coyotes.

It’s hard not to look at what’s happened to the Coyotes over the course of the last decade or so and see a team that has no business operating in Arizona

I get it guys, he was never on the 25 man roster.
