No, that's the nerf. SB is getting the same greater bash benefits as far as damage/stun, but sometimes if it was interacting with other stuns (even his own!) it wouldn't knock back properly which meant that SB could "stick" to a character without having to run after the knockbacks. Basically, he was sticking to

Yes yes yes OH GOD YES. This update literally has all three of my most wanted changes. Fountain hooks are OUT. Carries getting magical armlet HP making them impossible to whittle down are OUT. Spirit Breaker is NERFED.

I quit on the Taurus Demon. I feel no shame. Fuck that game and all it's sequels and spin offs and action figures and any other form of licensed product that may come to exist. I want my money back.

Nintendo has what, two HD remakes? I'm coming up with Wind Waker and Wii Sports. What am I missing?

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE COLORS?

I'm not normally a GTA kinda guy, but I got this from a friend so it's the only one I own and the only one I've completed. I thought it was pretty fun. Dialogue was funny, art was this pretty great cel-shaded but gritty mix. I didn't get a ton out of the open world design and having to do all that driving from

I also hate companies more and more as they make original quality products. The better their output, the greater my hatred.

Why? See, what you don't seem to understand is that the goal of the Pokemon company and their publisher Nintendo is when they set out to make these games is to sell a lot of units. They want to make games that kids like and that sell an awful lot.

Well this "not really appealing" game is gonna outsell any other RPG this year I'm afraid. It appeals to someone. People get real upset about Pokemon though, they confuse "aimed at children" with "I don't enjoy it therefore it's not good". Just... Kotaku commenters aren't the target audience.

This is gonna be the biggest JRPG in YEARS. Get excited Jason!

I'm already on the other side of that. I was into pokemon as a little kid, then I didn't think it was cool anymore, but now I'm past being a teenager and Pokemon's cool again.

But then I'll never get to play anything but Animal Crossing ever again!

That is definitely a recurring issue with the franchise. The voice direction in Symphonia 2 was just AWFUL.

You can't have a monopoly on a single work of media! That's not what the word means! It is literally impossible to have a single media product monopoly! Otherwise every publisher has a monopoly on the books they distribute, a small business selling hand crafted baskets has a monopoly on baskets made by the owner...

1. I am a fourth year economics major.

Oh come on, having an exclusive product is NOT the same thing as having a monopoly. Other companies are free to enter the marketplace and release competing JRPGs at any time. And they do!

Nope. The market set this value. Gamestop saw that a game they have exclusive distribution rights for was going for $90 and got a little weak in the knees. They HAD to get in on that. So they did. They're distributing some more copies for market value.

So you're saying that instead of being happy with my local Gamestop employees, I should be happy with Gamestop's corporate mandates that the employees were following?

I do. My local Gamestop (Wausau Center Mall) is totally great. They shipped me a Gameboy player (which is SUCH a great device BTW) at no charge from southern California so I could buy it for $9.99. They called the store, called me when it arrived, and made acquiring this old and nigh impossible to find accessory

Hang on, do you want to actually make a case for that? The way I see it both games have bullshit anime storytelling, so we can call that a wash. But what made Xenoblade remarkable was it's scale and truly remarkable engineering. There isn't another game in the genre that can even compare with the vastness of that
