I keep on seeing the purchase of a TV as a reason for buying a CUV on numerous posts here. Is everyone buying a new TV on a regular basis? I know electronics prices are cheaper in the U.S., but they can’t be that cheap. Also, don’t be fooled by that low, low price for that 60” LED. Chances are it is a 60Hz refresh

I’d rather a Camry than a Highlander or Rav4

Except that is the thing, most people migrating to CUVs that whole advantage is gone. I understand your point of what you want to see, but that forward vision gets obscured pretty quickly in a crowd filled with equally tall cars. For now, you’re ahead of the game. But for me, that isn’t an advantage worth all the

Especially with the ever-dwindling size of the trunk opening in new cars. The new Civic’s is a near-mail-slot, but has the same profile as an A7. Why it isn’t a 5dr like this is is beyond me.

I don’t disagree, a wagon is +1 of a hatch which is +5 over a sedan. That said, “most people” tend to not do a lot of the things you describe on a regular, on-going basis, save for maybe the dogs. Sure, the rare time you go to buy a TV, that hatch or wagon will be handy. I think you are the rare exception for hauling

It does look good in this update. But then, I’d be okay with the Buick Badge....

I’m also Canadian, and I wouldn’t feel bad about driving one of these. Don’t like the badge, just swap it for an Opel, Vauxhall or Holden ;)

So.... you wrote this because Patrick is still barred from GM loaner cars? (I kid Patrick, I kid....)

Because this is better in a sedan than an CUV....

The X6 and A7 don’t exactly compete against each other. The A7 is a fast-back sedan, the X6 is a fast-back CUV - different segments. Also, actual people can sit in the back of an A7.....

This “see over cars” argument doesn’t make any sense. If everyone is driving CUVs that are all relatively the same height, you aren’t at any advantage over the next guy over unless he happens to be driving the (dwindling number) of cars..... Also, what do you hope to see? How many cars are stopped in front of you in

A more appropriate comparison would have been an Accord vs Pilot. HR-V shares a platform with a Fit....

15 years isn’t exactly reasonable, but it is better. 0 years would be best, but Transport Canada thinks it needs to justify it’s existence and invent safety rules that apply to Canada’s “unique” climate and territorial situations. I don’t know exactly what those things are, but apparently they exist.

Could be worse

A co-worker has one, and she hates the life out of it. I find it cramped anytime she has driven when a few of us go out for lunch. When her and her boyfriend go away, they drive his Cruze because it gets way better milage, unless they need to haul something that requires the opening the Juke’s rear hatch has. Glad you

I saw an XC60 and a V60 Cross Country side by side at a local car show this summer, and honestly could not understand why both existed.... and they look so much the same and the space inside is similar enough to not matter except in the most extreme of situations....

You’re in luck, the Outback is considered a ‘light truck’ now....

The Toyota Venza was perfectly designed for the retiree set in my opinion. Bland, lots of space, medium seat height for ease of ingress and space in the back for trips to Florida. It constantly amazed me how many mid-30 to 40 year olds bought and drove them. That car literally screamed “old-person-car”.....

The answer for some would be

Here’s 2 that I would argue look way better than their sedan counterparts:
