Justin Hyde, are you one of those shortsighted nut jobs who thinks taxes are the government's evil plan to bring pain and unhappiness to the American people? I think you are.

And that bat rastard Justin Hyde took away my damn star!

Haha! During my brief and unsuccessful career as a high school debate club member, I had to create a case endorsing drones in the military. I lost every round. Now take that all you suit-clad debate ninjas! Drones are the friggin' future!

For such an iconic logo, the way it came about is very... Uninspiring. I mean, come on, I would expect some great tale of meaning and significance. Instead I get newspapers in Virginia and/or French wallpaper. Where's the romance in that?

Terrible ad, terrible cars.

I drive a Ford Tempo. One of the cheapest cars to fill (small tank), and it uses what little gas it contains with frugality. Tag on dirt cheap insurance rates, and Ford reliability and you've got one of the cheapest cars to own and operate.

Heck yeah we romanticize these old relics. They're from an era of excess, style, ingenuity, and flare. They are hardly clunkers. Indeed, even in junk yards these things look majestic. See Troy Paiva's lostamerica.com

I hear ya, brother.

Hows about a 1992 Ford Tempo GLS Coupe. Now don't dismiss it outta hand. Its a Tempo, yes. Typically a car that takes life at a different pace. But in '92 Ford stuffed the venerable but not too flashy 3.0L Vulcan V6 under the hood, stuffed in a Mazda MTX-IV 5spd. manual transmission from the Taurus SHO, and called it

No. But when you look at the new Ford's and their trapezoidal grills, crisp lines, and angular headlights, the Malibu looks pretty uninspiring. Or inspired by Camry. Same thing.

So hey. Jalopnik guys. Ya know, I rarely visit this site these days. Because all the shit that's churned out is crap I read Consumer Reports or Edmund's InsideLine for. Jalopnik once appealed to an audience as wide and varied as the F-150's option list, and was both intelligent and entertaining.

$4.29 a gallon up here, and I'm not complaining yet.

Lincoln Town Car. New Lincolns are showcases for technology. Loaded up with every kind of gadget and techno wizadry that a new car can have, from fully independen suspension and a unibody frame construction to iPod connectivity and BluTooth.

You know what it is.

My gal drives an '07 Focus. I wish she drove a Ford Taurus, 2011. Super safe, IIHS Top Safety Pick, 5-star. Not too bad of a looker and its wicked fast.

1988-1991 Ford Tempo. A design that dates back to 1988, yet it still looks contemporary. In an era of exaggerated fender flares, excess, and ostentatious ground effects, the Tempo remains clean cut and sleek, without looking dated. In appearance it is decades ahead of the Malaise-era cars.

An old Biscayne. Something unsafe.

1989 Tempo: 135lb-ft

I can dig this.

The new Ford Focus says strength and revolution. This Civic says weakness and fear.
