Yes. The dragster community does not judge based on the same set of concours rules, clearly.
er... they did take it off the hood and placed it there to show off the engine. However, that’s not all of it. You can see the flatter side parts under the car. It was all back together in time for them to drive it away at the end of the day.
Having ridden in that seat in a similar (albeit non-pantherised) car, I can confirm that it’s best for everyone if you don’t have a left leg (that’s where the gearstick is), and there will be physical contact with both other occupants, so it can be awkward.
Fortunately, most Bentley Continentals are sold to people who don’t spend much time in the rear, Korean or otherwise.
So... Michael, did Luc Donckerwolke present the car? You know, the now-Hyundai, ex-Bentley guy who got all hot under the collar when Lincoln’s concept looked too similar to a Bentley...
“Speaking to a sold-out crowd of more than 2,300 people Tuesday at the Birch Run Expo Center in Michigan...”
Give the Hungarian dude a break. That sentence is one letter-swap away from automotive journalist perfection...
You know where the Head Designer dude who made those rants went to after mysteriously disappearing from Bentley?.......
Looks like a field of dreams to me. Particularly trippy but excellent dreams.
How many production cars could manage it at speed without suffering catastrophic oil starvation? Even some track cars would struggle, I think.
CHAMP cars raced there in 2001 and 2002, back when that particular travelling circus visited Europe. However, no US series has travelled there since, so they just kind of don’t use the outer loop. Which is a shame.
Rockingham, just north of Corby, Northamptonshire, England. Not too far from Rockingham forest. I did not just make that up.
