Haha just got conformation from my guy at Intel. 10watts. Max power is 10 freaking watts LOLOLOL So add to the rats nest that any external device is going to need a power adapter save like a travel HDD or blue ray drive.

It's not. Intel achieved the 20GB/s by reworking how thunderbolt works. Actually what Intel did was rework thunderbolt and change the way the channels are paired. They reworked 4 10 GB/s channels into 2 bidirectional 20GB/s channels. Has nothing to do with firmware. Also USB 3.0 SS when it finally comes out next

Falcon Ridge a.k.a Thunderbolt 2.0 = 20GB/s. PCIe can hit up to 32 GB/s. Yes Thunderbolt is faster than SATA and USB and Firewire sure, which is why but PCIe is still the fastest. Thats why if you look at the * you see that it conspicuously leaves out PCIe so that it can claim "fastest way to connect to your

Agreed. I have 2 GTX 690's in SLI on my beast. I could push 5 4k monitors with that thing without breaking a sweat. I need the graphical memory and shaders for high detailed rendering and quick response. Notice the information they DONT tell you. At what frame rate are you pushing those displays? Are we talking

Exactly, it stripped out all of the functionality that was great about the Mac Pro. Can we call this the iMacPro now? Cause that is what it feels like. They made it smaller to make it look cool but in doing so took away the most important aspect of the Pro, the ability to update and reconfigure.

Its the way the PRO line is going with Apple I think. They remove what makes it pro but keep calling it that to justify the high price. I love my Mac Pro, have no plans on getting this. There is no upgradability, everything has to be upgraded externally so you are throttled by Thunderbolt 2 speed.

Agreed. The only person who MAY (and I am not even sure on this one) have not pushed it this far would have been Ron Paul. The issues I have had with the Republicans and their witchhunt on Obama (IRS scandal, Bengazi and the like) is that they are making mountains out of mole hills when there are legitimate issues

Well I can guarantee the majority of Democrats voted yes for it as well. It was discussed and voted on in secret. So if you are a member of Congress are you more or less likely to vote on something that none of your constituents will ever know about (because it's super duper top secret) and thus bears no weight on

Um I was just talking to Bob Khan yesterday, he seemed just fine.

No self respecting pipe smoker would EVER use a butane lighter

Ugh Rob turn in your nerd card. That panel is from ASM 121 "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" ASM 122 is "The Green Goblin's Last Stand" These are iconic books, please fix. Thanks.
