Why shouldn’t people not discuss their salary? This kind of transparency and “socially taboo” benefits corporations in the end. They actively steal from you so why shouldn’t you be able to compare salaries and be able to see the puss underneath the structure?

It’s as said somewhere else: This is probably going to be a trend - another corporate-investor grift where all the blame goes to the devs under dehumanizing conditions to get the game out only to get laid off regardless of its performance. We have companies called Game Mill now, think about that.

It’s pretty interesting, really. Sociopaths and narcissists are often driven to get into positions of utmost power since having to adhere to common egalitarian society’s rules can burden then. It’s likely why so many of them are CEOs or c-suite executives. Money doesn’t care about morals after all. Even if you’re not

Zelda was already modded into BotW with a full story mod. Instead of waiting for the official playable Zelda, have more faith in the modding community

You lose the argument when you rely on ad hominem attacks.

It definitely is a disease, and a good expression of how apathetic tech corporations are to both their laborers and consumers. They’re using AI so the executives don’t get caught holding the bag, but the AI highlights their views and acts on them.

Sony has deadlocked the FF team for quite a long time, even though that “temporary exclusive” model is also anti-consumer. Sony has been getting worse and worse with their practices, and I’m proud to say I won’t be getting a PS5 for the new FF7 Rebirth.

Eh, TS can pass as its successor(it has a number of references to it), but it does not have the Shakespearean theme that FFT was beloved over.

Because corporations can never admit a loss unless it’s an excuse. If they admit a loss in any form, they want to blame something other than them, otherwise, they risk hurting their company/brand reputation, and thus value.

They own the government, so of course it’s not going to get addressed practically.

Yeah, the mass digitization of media gives corporations a lot more control of things you believe you owned. This is just a small example of anti-consumerism.

Of course, it’s why the propaganda and literal troll bot campaign ad hominid attacks on artists for “being privileged” came out guns blazing. By controlling the narrative and opinions around artistic expression, the tech around “AI” and it just being a mishmash of existing data and not creating its own allows

Path of Exile is probably up your alley, though it’s always online, at least GoG has far better servers than AB.

I believe ActiBliz is confident enough to ask this because they know they have a fanbase with some low-ass standards and easily addicted.

The general disdain toward the arts is one reason why corporations are going all-in on “AI”. They’re confident consumers don’t really understand what makes art so valuable is what helps them in the end in controlling any and all forms of human expression.

Yep. Creating expressive, well-meaning art requires empathy, and AI, nor business executives are capable of that.

It’s throughout human history that the wealthy become assholes because they don’t have to worry about common problems such as survival and making sure you have food and can afford bills. They give up all the things that shape their values toward humanity as they are surrounded by yes-men and personal responsibility

Maybe, maybe not. We’re living in an era of CEO fuck-ups that are failing-upward because shareholders like to give second chances to turn that stock around.

...

OMFG. IT’S TRUE. When you’re this soulless - IT’S TRUE!!

If it serves against the interests of the oligarchs that control western governments, don’t expect compliance.
