You had much better luck than I did! Though to be fair, my time with it was a few years ago now. Over the year or so that I played LoL the times that I enjoyed chatting to the opposing team were FAR outweighed by the number of times I watched a huge rage fest happen between the two sides in chat.

One of the best social aspects of this game is that it does not let you speak to the opposing team mid-match. Nothing good can come of that.
