oh wow, I was kind of hoping that wasn’t a mask but he really was a man/monkey hybrid

34k on my stock Bolt tires in SoCal. Pretty hard compound for low rolling resitance. They can be a little slick in the rain though. TPM makes it easy to keep them at 38psi. A clever trick I discovered by accident is that when filling a low tire, the car flashes the matching blinker when you’re at the right pressure.
Difference here is that Valve, at least seems to be a good employer/company. Can only remember like one story about a disgruntled x-employee from them in the past 10 years. Compared to other big game companies that regularly screw over their peons with crunch, bad wages and layoffs to appease the all important share…
Battery heat soak. You can only draw so much current for so long out of any battery pack before the cooling system becomes insufficient and the EV needs to limit current draw or bad things happen (thermal runaway)
I don’t understand how they could be “1-dimensional.” Do they mean that they were “effectively 1-dimensional, because they could reasonably be measured in only one spacial dimension, since they could not change position relative to the other krypton atoms in the tube because they are a noble gas and therefore…
At first, I thought we were talking about the magnets! I was really surprised they could do that.
I don’t ask questions of my processed meat either. I’m the same with music, I rarely even bother to learn band members names anymore. I just don’t care about the artist outside of their art.
The Hugos have been an embarrassing joke for a few years now. Quit playing politics with popular fiction FFS, I neither need nor want any personal knowledge of the author or their real world views, it’s completely irrelevant to me. I’m reading their book, not marrying them.
Even more interesting would be Mars sample return, if they ever get it funded, because hey, we need to give tax breaks to the 1% and Boeing, and oil companies but science is too expensive!
What a hit.
I am not sure it was drift. He got scared, yank the steering wheel to change lane as quickly as possible and lost the rear. At least this is how I see it on the video.
Can someone tell this Amish guy that it’s not about horsepower, it’s about torque?
This list would have been a lot more interesting if it didn’t include ultra-high end cars. I don’t think anyone cares about the full economy of a Ferrari, but it would be interesting to see how many mainstream models are still under 20 MPGs.
It strikes me as a modern take on Ogre Battle.
There were barely two giant breasts in the reveal trailer and they were completely covered. Is this even the same Vanillaware that did Dragon’s Crown?
They’re showing way too much of this game and I’m not sure why. They did the same thing with 16. Who else do they need to sell it to? They’re blowing a couple hundred mil on another marketing blitz for a game that is going to get free coverage all year but shot Octopath 2 and Star Ocean 2 into the ether.
Why do Trailers always give away all the good stuff and the full plot these days ?
I mean, it's a completed series, so it's not like they'll have to make up their own plots.
I’ve generally stopped watching new series right away. Too often, shows get terrible 2 or 3 seasons in and it all just feels like a waste of time. I wait until a series is nearly over and will start watching if people are still fairly positive about it.
It is VERY much not western fiction, which I think is part of its appeal for some people. The tropes and the decision making of the writer and characters are definitely not following the “normal” paths of character development or plot development this story would get in the west.
