Because thats now how armies work. Its not a democracy. You join, you follow orders. Soldiers dont form committees and "explore their feelings" on issues like this. Also most soldiers arent eager to go fight anywhere. So where does that leave us? With in ineffective military with no actual command or control. …

Putting those on an F-35 is stupid. Why bother with stealth? Just put them on planes with far better performance characteristics (of which there are many, all costing far less) and let the other team shoot all the missiles they want.

I kind of liked this row best. Yes I would take a Hellcat, a Z/28 and a Shelby GT500 over a Bentley. #Murica
Or you could get a job (or three, like I did) to pay for school, and take the government tit out of your mouth.
The defense industry employs thousands of civilians. When I was in the military all of the aircrew training jobs were staffed by civilians- usually retired military folks or industry engineers who knew about the aircraft. Whether you like the military or not, the fact is that those defense contracts provide for tons…
Or, the military, being one of the few things the federal government is actually chartered to do, in the Constitution, could do its job and spend money on weapons to protect soldiers in combat. But I'm sure civil servants who do nothing but waste money are more important than employing some seriously smart and…
