It has been fairly well documented that VW is working on a turbo VR6 for future models. My favorite VR6 exhaust video:

My 2001 Jetta VR6 has 140k miles and aside from a starter and fuel pump needing replace, which can be attributed to being a 13 years old car, has been fantastic. Not a day goes by where I don't drive the piss out of it just so I can hear the intoxicating noise of a VR6.

I'm pretty sure it isn't a straight conversion rate when it comes to cars. There are likely many variables involved in determining the price for a given market.

You're just another one of those people that has a personal vendetta against Volkswagen, aren't you? With all the other horrendous looking cars/grills that are out there now and you go after VW? If that is the kind of thing that grinds your gears, I think you have bigger issues at hand.

Wearing my 4 year old PMX200s at work right now. Use them for several hours a day and still sound like now. Have a set of HD205s at home and they really do sound fantastic.

That is a rotary bridge porting diagram for those who wouldn't know. That is all all sorts of bad ass. Coming from a former rotary owner.

VW should be introducing the MK7 Golf, GTI and GTD as well. None of which have been shown to the US public yet.

I don't need none of that fancy fluid to walk on water. Liquid Mountaineering.

You make it sound like there is just a bunch of these cars sitting on lots unsold. Most of these cars likely hit their sales goals. For example; there were only 5500 MK6 Golf Rs produced worldwide and production has ceased. Considering it wasn's sold in north America in 2012 and the rest of the world bought the

FWIW the MK7 R and GTI are properly fast cars for the cost. Here is the company they stand amongst in regards to Nurburgring lap times:

I think this is a smart strategy on VW's part. I dream of the day when everyone appreciates the greatness which is TDI but there will always be that % of the population that is slow to adapt and resist change. For those that refuse to believe that diesel can be amazing, this provides a great alternative.

The deaths just shift from murder to hypothermia as welfare recipients misappropriated their checks on Jordans and iPhones instead of the gas/electric bill.

I 15th this as a driver of a 5-speed VR6 Jetta

I am doing everything I possibly can to get a White 4-door Mk7 GTI with the performance pack including forcing myself to get a new job so I can pay off my current VW faster. Fuck buying a house. I have dreamt of owning this car since the mk5 appeared in '05.

The Mercedes AMG Black Series of vaporizers. Makes all other vaporizers it's bitch.

Plowin' streets is for pussies. I plow anywhere the hell I want! I'll plow yer backdoor, yer sister's bush, yer mama's meaty love mountains. Git 'er done!

Because 'Murica

The more body parts you can fit in the back door the better. Sometimes even multiple people at a time.

Very few of those cars provide me with adequate room to have sex in. I suggest Subaru powered Vanagon because rear entry and reliable.

In the 2010 C&D Lightning Lap test, the brakes pads on the Nismo 370Z completely let go when trying to slow down from 130mph and they put it into a wall. Extreme levels of brake fade.
