Because that’s a philosophy problem and philosophers are pedantic AF: It’s not. What makes the trolley problem work is that the result is guaranteed, whereas the ATV was unlikely to injure anyone. “Intentionally killing one person to maybe save people that may not get out of the way, or maybe they will” is not a hard

I hear you, but I don’t want cops doling out physical injury to people in the name of “they would be hurt anyway”, or “they are a criminal so it’s okay”. A cops job should not be to punish people.

Sure thing. A small business is financially harmed if public parking meant to allow people to access their business cannot do so because for-sale cars are parked in those spots. Thats one example of harm.

Limiting the definition of “harm” to physical bodily harm. Hardly an interesting straw man. Can you do better?

Did you really just make up a scenario involving hundreds of cars and then call me hyperbolic? lol.

Thanks!

Sure, it’s happened in the past, but it’s happening MORE now that people are trying to be their own sheriffs.

How can this possibly be legal?

Except they are.

Also prove you aren’t leaving young children for the state/society to care for. Perhaps prove you have a fund set aside to help with the trauma of other people seeing your brain matter everywhere while you’re at it.

Welcome to 2024, sadly. The days of easily picking up a car this size for 30k is long gone.

You didn’t actually read the article, did you? What part of the track built features and 275s makes you think “commuter car” with “thin tires”?

Internal combustion engines burn out easily; that’s a disadvantage of ICE cars. Anyone who has had to repair a 2-stroke lawn mower knows what I’m talking about.

Disadvantage in applied torque, but if they have any more grip it’s worth it, as these are grip battles more than powertrain battles.

Did that comment make sense in your head?

Rooting for the death of a car brand, before knowing what the car is, seems odd. Car manufacturers are only becoming more consolidated, with few new entries really able to make it. This isn’t good for consumers, variety, or innovation

If this weren’t on Jalopnik, where the *assumption* is a 4 wheel road car, it’d be laughable. We’ve had random/remote/autonomous racing for years. It’s not F1 levels of popularity, but then not being at that popularity level isn’t a reason for things like DTM or GT to not exist.

“Just nine EVs on the market currently support bidirectional charging, but now VW has […]”

Yeah, but do bigger stronger men win more races? If they don’t, than women can compete.

I love when someone leaves a “recommends you post” MONTHS (or years) later causing me to go back and read my entire argument. What I really love is finding out I @#$%ING owned it. Anyway, months out, I stand behind what I said.
