I agree, you can never say anything that the press won’t tear apart and run with their own spin. It would be sad if they had to spend more on the communications department then the actual lab work.

Actually, after working for years in both, it’s the exact opposite. Government workers/projects have no incentive to move quickly. On the commercial side, time is literally money. That’s all they seem to care about. During my first role, I tried to slow down civilian contractors to ensure everything was done correctly…

I have younger co-worker who is just a couple years younger than you. He texts me, sends the second text with the spelling corrected, then follows up with an email. Lastly, he prints it out, comes to my office and says, “Hey, I just sent this to you.” I by no means think I am with the times of the previous generations…

That’s no way to live my friend. The less you depend on it for survival the easier it is to function without out it. And that day will come.......it always does.
